i guess the producers have no problem with 12 year olds attending raves and taking illegal drugs because judging by the content, that appears to be the target market for this film.

a) no 12 year olds are portrayed in the film

b) if you would were to make a film about "raves" would you ignore the fact that young people take drugs at events?

one of the only aspects i find remotely realistic about the film is the manner in which drugs were portrayed. the drug aspect wasnt totally ignored, yet it didnt dominate the "plot" of the film. i guess they got a little cartoonish with the guy on guy make out scene (lol 'e'gives you the gay) but all in all it was reasonably accurate:)

totally not a real movie but it's still kind of fun. the one thing i totally cant stand is that dj pollywog continues to get bookings based on appearing in that piece of shit, god does she suck!

I don't object to its innacurate representation of the rave scene, I just object to the fact that its a horrible piece of shit movie that should never have been made. :)

Take a bunch of rave culture cliche's and throw them together with some really bad acting... cinematic genius! 8)

While I make fun of it, I own a copy myself. Just because it's a silly movie doesn't mean I wasn't entertained.

Is there a reason why this movie thread wasn't turned into a poll, like most of the other one's on the front page?

sorry, but you have misunderstood. i never said 12 year olds were depicted. i was merely suggesting that because the content of the film was so bad, it must have been scripted and shot to appeal to young teenagers.

absolutely not. i'd make sure one of the characters consumed ecstasy and thus dies as a result. ;)

even though it is horribly unrealistic and often badly acted, i really enjoy this film. i think the cinematography is quite good for a first time director, and i like the lighting too.

and it makes me happy :)

I don't know if you guys realized this, but throughout the early and mid 90's, most party's were underground and in warehouses. I thought it was a good portrayel of how the scene used to be.

It's also a good movie for people to watch if they're curious about X or trying it. At, least for me, it shows how X affects you, at least the first few times.

And the Digweed thing is a complete trip (but he brings solid credibility to the movie)

I haven't scene a better portrayel of the rave/X scene than Groove.

correct me if i am wrong but i am sure that JBizzle wrote rave/x scene. there was no x scene in human traffic ?

the dreamy sequence which occurs during the dance club scene is surely meant to exemplify feelings on mdma?
