Film: Ghost in the Shell II: Innocence

here here!

can't (but will) bloody wait!

I hope the sequel can produce an equally haunting score.

the director of the first one, mamoru oshii, did an interesting live action film called avalon. it's not up to the standard of gits but has some cool ideas and one really incredible special effect.

but, yeah, i too am looking forward to the sequel. the images on the site look great.

I"m only worried i won't get to see a theater release in subtitles. I hate dub over. My town is to small, I bet they'll only have the release in english. Pootie.

The dubbing on the first was done really well for the simultaneous worldwide release back in 95.

This should be good. I've never really gotten that into anime, but Ghost in the Shell was kick ass.

I know dubbing can be good, yes. But it's ALWAYS better in subtitles. A lot of times, the translations come off as awkward from english to japanese, but when it's written it always seems more coherent.

That and japanese voices make me hot. :D "AYEEEEEEE!"

Ill be waiting for the DVD release...
Doubt it will be released at the cinemas where i am..
Duh.....
Should be awesome tho. Ghost in A Shell is a classic!!

Cant wait. I watched the quicktime preview, its sick, but when the japanese voice went "INOCE'NS" (sic) right in the middle, I almost fell out of my chair laughing :)))

just saw this last nite...

a beautiful and stunning blend of hand drawn and computer animation
the opening credits has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of computer animation I've ever seen
this film had me in awe the whole time, I don't think I blinked once
a little hard to follow with the subtitles since I couldn't take my eyes off the eye candy on the screen so I'll have to see it again to get the whole story...probably tonight

two thumbs way up!

Did it suffer from the PG13 rating much? That was a bit suprising.
I didn't even realize it was rated PG-13!
I thought there was a pretty good amount of violence in the film...some of it was robot violence, but there was quite a bit of blood too.
