So, I just watched the second Futurama "movie" and it was alright. I reckon the first one was better. It felt really long. I mean, it was only 90 mins or so, but felt like 2 hours at least.
I attribute this to poor pacing and plot development. It seems to be like all over the joint. It was hard to tell which plot was the main one.
It does have it's moments, and just as with all Futurama, i'm sure i'll find many more on subsequent viewings.
but time will tell

Yeah, I've never really been a huge futurama fan to begin with... but I sat through this whole flick anyways. I was less than impressed. It's a funny enough show, but the humor has always seemed forced and insincere...

It's a definite "meh".

Where did you get it? I thought it wasn't supposed to be out until later in June...is it already on a torrent?

edit: nevermind, found it :). Didn't even think to check online, although this movie isn't exactly a top priority for me at the moment lol.

I'll still buy a copy. Please do the same.

this show needs financial support to survive

It was terrible compared to the show. They took out all the nerdy science jokes and added in tons of slapstick crap like the simpsons. Very strange turn for such a great show. It always baffles me when people mess with a winning formula.

This movie was a vast improvement over the first movie they released. It was definitely no where near the writing level of the original show, but I was glad to at least see the plot line revolve mostly around the regular characters, not gross naked aliens. David Cross did an excellent job with Yivo's voice, and although the story may have been a bit extravagant, I enjoyed it.

The writing is getting better with each movie and I'm glad to see that. I just still don't understand how anyone could have enjoyed the first movie, it was flat out god awful. The forced lame jokes, and the crappy cameos pissed me off to no end. Just get to the fucking story and make it funny.

All in all, I don't like the change in format, so the show will probably never be the same.

I enjoyed this film far more than the first. Those weird gross aliens in the first movie totally put me off. They didn't have good character development and the plot seemed more about them then the shows original characters. I like Futurama for their characters, and so I really enjoyed the latest film.

Did anyone totally get a kick out of the very beginning of the movie where they made the cartoon like the original Mickey Mouse cartoons? It was amazing!!!! So creative!

I'm saving this one for the weekend.

Hopefully it'll be better than Bender's Big Score. :\

just watched today. i haven't seen the other film, but this one was a bit 'meh'. i lol'd once and smiled a few times. :\

a regrettable 2/5.

^I won't build my hopes up then.

Just out of curiosity, who's your favourite character, felix?.
