Forest Gump is the worst movie of all time. With the possible exception of Crash.

Wait, let me think...

No, it's worse than crash.

Worst movie ever. And no, that's not a matter of opinion.

I get to agree with everything everybody has written about Forrest Gump so far :)

If film is storytelling, forrest gump is a well-crafted movie deserving of the accolades its won.

If film is art, forrest gump is a corporate juggernaut devoid of any risk. It thinks its audience is too conservative for anything more than a narrative adapted from a book. Its in the middle of a pack and has loads of undeserved attention.

Its both :\

I tend to fall on the Film as art side. FG is just too calculated to appeal to everybody, to appeal to me. I would have preferred Pulp Fiction won, and I prefer the hudsucker proxy to either of those. I don't expect everybody to enjoy a movie like Red, or even Pulp Fiction though.

I loved this flick.
The first time I saw it was the first time I rolled! I dropped in a club with a friend and then we went to this movie. I sat in the very first row and basically sat there running in place and being COMPLETELY absorbed in the movie. I swear I was in Vietnam when Gump was running and rescuing friends before they dropped the napalm.
The arms of the chair felt so awesomely textured and my gf's hand felt so good. She was complaining about me sweating. LOL I was wholly connected to the emotions of the characters and thoroughly enjoyed it!

To this day, I have honestly no idea how I sat in the chair through the whole movie.

i love this film so much. it's one of the most touching, lighthearted yet deep movies i have ever watched and tom hanks is fantastic.

wow! I was actually thinking about resurrecting this thread the other day.
im glad somebody did.

Forrest Gump & Pulp Fiction = My favorite movies of all time. 1993 was a great year for movies..... :D

5/5

Edit : I cant understand why anybody wouldnt like either one of these movies. But everybody is entitled to their own opinion
