incidently i was recently watching this as junk i found ondemand that i could go to sleep to.... and i picked up on about three things i have missed in every other watching before i feel alseep. it is a movie i think i could watch few times over the year and not get completely tired and annoyed by the actors and the film.

i <3 this film. moreso than the book.

it forces you to view it through the eyes of jack the first time you see it. then the second viewing forces you to see it through marla's eyes. not till the third viewing does one get a real sense of being the audience.

i don't know any other film that accomplished this.

and watching this with a head full of acid years back, i found many glaringly clear metaphors throughout it, and since then, i've still yet to get a reasonable response to one of them: what the fuck was up with the journals in the paper street house? as a plot device, and a point specifically given time in a film, what was their purpose?

i theorise that the books, along with everything else in the film is metaphoric to a part of jack's brain. the books are his basic automated bodily functions, marla IS the tumor/damage in his brain which brings on split personality.

etcetera

My all-time favorite film by far. I can literally say this movie changed my life when I watched it (I was 14 the first time I saw it).

apparently rosie o'donnel saw this film at an early screening and being put off by the violence declared something like
"it's just a story about a boy and his imaginary friend"
on her television show before the film's release.

words cannot describe the anger i felt when i heard she did that.

I love this movie so much and have seen it on HBO 4 times this week alone. Even though I have the DVD,also. Sad. One of the best things about the movie is how it completely changes your perspective on Marla after you've seen it. The first time I saw it,all I could think her was what a pointless dirty whore she was. Now,I feel so sorry for her every time I watch it.

I shaved my head after I saw this movie for the first time as a kid... yeah, definitely top 5. Still an excellent movie after all these years

I love this film so much; I could watch it over and over and over again and never get sick of it.

Basically, I am Jack's obsession with Fight Club. =D

My brother actually introduced me to this movie because he had to watch it for one of his college classes. It is an awesome movie. And there are so many little "things" in it, it's fucking crazy. It's like no matter how many times I watch it, I notice something different.
