One of the most controversial and provocative films of the year, Fahrenheit 9/11 is Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore's searing examination of the Bush administration's actions in the wake of the tragic events of 9/11. With his characteristic humor and dogged commitment to uncovering the facts, Moore considers the presidency of George W. Bush and where it has led us. He looks at how - and why - Bush and his inner circle avoided pursuing the Saudi connection to 9/11, despite the fact that 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and Saudi money had funded Al Qaeda. Fahrenheit 9/11 shows us a nation kept in constant fear by FBI alerts and lulled into accepting a piece of legislation, the USA Patriot Act, that infringes on basic civil rights. It is in this atmosphere of confusion, suspicion and dread that the Bush Administration makes its headlong rush towards war in Iraq - and Fahrenheit 9/11 takes us inside that war to tell the stories we haven't heard, illustrating the awful human cost to U.S. soldiers and their families. Lions Gate Films will release the film nationwide on June 25th.

If your really bored and want a good laugh you should see this movie. Also if you want to look into the mind of our enemies, you can see this movie and see how a true enemy of America, Michael Moore, views our great nation.

It's been an hour since I left the theatre, and I'm still in disbelief over what I saw..
Don't get me wrong, I loved the film, I am just totally astonished by some of the things in it.
The opening segment was hilarious, and how it showed Fox News stating Bush had won Florida shortly after the rest of the stations said Gore won. The quote that GW made "I'll win Florida one way or another.." made the hairs on my arm stand up.
Scenes of Bush in the class room, immediately after being told that the planes have struck just speak volumes. The complete look of disarray and confusion on GW's face waiting for someone to tell him what to do, coupled with the narration paints a beautiful picture of a man who is unable to make decisions on his own, without his cabinet there to hold his hand. Those who have seen it, and that befuddled look on his face know what I mean...
All the ties to Al Qaeda were enough to make me almost want to vomit. (the music in this movie is great, too) The movie shows how all of America's airlines were on shut down except the ones leaving the country with the bin Laden family. Planes didnt even fly for George Bush Sr.!! The whole segment about the Carlyle Group just pisses me off. There are SO many ties between Bush Sr., and Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and big companies makes me ill. People in this country died waiting for organ donations that needed to be flown in because the airlines were halted, but the fuckin bin Ladens get a 1-way ticket out of the country.8(
The timeline of events leading up to Sept. 11, and video clips of Bush on vacation golfing and fishing when he should have been investigating the reports that Al Qaeda was planning an attack within the US is enough to make anyone's blood boil. I had to laugh, when the narrator said the memo wasn't "clear" enough and then cuts to Condoleeza Rice saying "Umm, I belive the memo was titled 'Al Qaeda determind to strike on US soil soon' yes, I belive that's what it was titled" (or something like that)
The breast milk being withheld at the airport, the 'Peace Fresno' group being hassled, the old man from the gym being investigated by the FBI for saying Bush is an asshole, the fact that you can still carry 2 lighters and 3 books of matches on board an airliner, the scnes of the Marines "recruiting" people at Wal-Mart, the mother from Flint, the late night raids in Iraq, everything about this movie makes it a Must See - Michael Moore fan or not.
Oh, I think for me, the biggest slap in the face was the clip of the fuckin Al Qaeda ambassador being given a tour of the US embassy by GEORGE BUSH SR.
Another personal favorite line was when Moore makes the observation that the US Government pays President Bush $400,000 a year, and the combined interests of the Saudi Arabian world put several billion dollars a year into his pockets and the pockets of those who surround him and his family. He then asks the question sarcastically "Who's your daddy?"...

just get done watching it...and while i strongly agree that it was an excellent piece of filmmaking..michael moore failed to empathize with ppl on the other side of the issue..which is necessary if you want to spin them around...and this shows in the yahoo! audience reviews ..not surprisingly..about half the audience gives it an 'A' and the other half an 'F'..in close paralell to the bush vs. kerry polls (albeit with a few more As)...as such..F9/11 will prolly win over some swing voters..but no defectors from the bush camp...

he may have looked looked kinda like the rest of us when we saw that fucked up shit. confused, scared, and well ok he looks way more like a monkey than the average american but other than that it's pretty much the same
BA i think it's awesome that you've given a movie like this a chance just remember that michael moore is a satirist, not a history professor

Definitely worth watching i think, puts across another side to the story which is always *much* needed.
personally too, i tend to agree with most of moores views on 9-11 so it'll be interesting to see how exactly he has chosen to present them to the public. should be good i hope

the carlyle group has ties with disney. since disney owns miramax, yes, funding came from the carlyle group. since, however, disney disowned the film, harvey weinstein had to buy the film back out of his own budget, thus at least somewhat nullifying that very indirect contribution.
considering moore is often derided for drawing tenuous connections and taking facts out of context, that's a nice way to pull a michael moore on us michael!

That movie was amazing. There was not a dry eye in the theatre. but people should be warned: IT IS REALLY HEAVY!

eh, saw it last night. Funny, but not a documentary. There were Congressmen who has children in the armed services who talked about it (edited).
My only concern is that with me was someone who has no experience in world events and politics at all. Now he hates Bush. Moore's movies are really not where you need to be politically socialized.

i thought i would beat the crowds by going to an 11.30 am show today. there was not an empty seat in the theater. fahrenheit 9/11 opened on 868 screens last night. white chicks opened on 2726. guess which made more money?
the left has been taking a beating for four years, and this movie finally lets people have a badly needed laugh at the expense of this country's leadership. a big laugh. but at the other end, there are pieces in the movie that are very sad. hearing the 9/11 jetliner crashes reproduced on a movie theater subwoofer and speaker system, video of an iraqi woman who is livid at the deaths of her relatives, and candid interviews with U.S. soldiers are among the film's most poignant and perhaps documentarian moments. at the macro level, moore's work is a resounding success and an improvement over bowling for columbine.
however, the manner in which he connects some of the smaller points is not going to be enough to silence his critics, and there is plenty of fuel here to create a new generation of moore lies web sites. while the film is not slanderous, it occasionally becomes conveniently vague. for example, the film seems to imply that the bin laden family flights took place while commercial aircraft was still grounded after 9/11. this was not the case -- these flights took place while only charter traffic was still grounded. the film was not clear, and perhaps misleading, on this and other smaller points.
the movie makes a great argument about all of the larger things -- the war, the military, the politicians. definitely not an education, but a lot of fun.
