This film did absolutely nothing for me. It's one of those 'enjoy it for the characters, not for the plot' kinds of movies, like The Big Lebowski and Waiting, both of which I loved. I just found I couldn't like or relate to any of the characters. And this is coming from a guy who went to a jocky high school in a small sleepy town where the main form of entertainment was drive-n-bake, mind you.

You want a good stoner film that actually has a decent plot and some layers of meaning? Try Harold and Kumar.

I bought this from a discount music/dvd store. Best ten bucks i ever spent. I've watched it heaps of times, and the soundtrack is the shit.

I enjoyed it enough. Its just an "entertanment" film though and it did that for me. But, I feel I must add that the school, where the srs are waiting for the fish, and they show some going down white slides and chase them trough a neighborhood is the middle school I went to. hehe.

fire escapes. that is a little north of austin. I think that the moontowers were they had the kegger is in south austin. I had some friends who ran into "mitch" in austin, and ofcourse they said right away "hey doode lets smoke out!" but he said no. that has to of gotten VERY old by now for him.

Wooderson: Man, it's the same bullshit they tried to pull in my day. If it ain't that piece of paper, there's some other choice they're gonna try and make for you. You gotta do what Randall Pink Floyd wants to do man. Let me tell you this, the older you do get the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N.

^I see he dresses to the left. ;)

This is probably my favourite drug related film ever. It's just one of those guilty pleasures, It's like I know that technically speaking it's not a brilliant film, but I always enjoy it regardless. The soundtrack, and the sheer stupidity of it all. %)

My personal favourites are Matthew McConaughey's Wooderson, and Parker Posey's Darla Marks.

"Since you little per-RICK teases can't follow inSTRUCTIONS, we're just gonna have to try something else". =D

No matter where you are in the world, you can be sure to find a Darla in your life. Not so funny when you experience it first hand, but hilarious in fictional form when you ain't directly in contact with it. :D <3

^ lol tribal girl.. i feel the same, not brilliant, but damn do i sure enjoy it! and as you have mentioned, the soundtrack.. oh my what an awesome selection of rock songs.. im playing it right now * foghat - slow ride ) /me sings "im in the mood. the rhythm is right, move to the music, yea.. we can roll all night" <- damn that video is good with scenes from the movie.

Slater: Man just wait till I get to college!

I hated it and found it dull, but thats before I had every gotten stoned so maybe I'll find it funny now...

wipe that face off your head, bitch!

while mostly a stoner movie, we used to play drinking games with this one. every time mitch touched his nose, you take a drink. you can get pretty sloshed very quickly. :)

Great movie to watch with friends.
It's become one of those movies that I put on and let play in the background while I roam around the house.

i don't think i've ever seen this. but thenagain, i was never a stoner...

I personally love this movie and what I find most interesting is the contrast in characters but the evident common bond they all share no matter how different they are. Pretty cool/interesting stuff. Oh and the soundtrackkkkkkk

Three cheers for teenage ANGST!!!!!!
