Is anyone else wetting themselfs waiting for this to come out?

The origonal George Romero one is one of my favourite films of all time. I hope the remake cuts the mustard and isnt a cgi fest !

Anyone?

man, i cant wait either. i havent even seen the original yet, only night and day. I wanted to see the originial first, but im tempted to go see this one haha.

^^ you MUST see the original.
simplay amazing, really doesn't even need to be remade. I am not sure if the remake will do the original justice, but I am going to attempt to go in unbiased.

Saw it this afternoon, very good was surprised didn't expect it to be as good as it turned out to be, though while cool I still like the slow moving like a snail zombie over the micheal johnson hopped on speed zombies thats me though, cause when they are slower but still coming its like a fear you know will eventually get to you, this its fear that attacks you right out the gate, solid movie, decent cast, though I gotta admit that one blonde I don't remember showing up in the truck but next thing shes naked bent over a table, I was like huh, must be one of the deleted story lines, I heard that this movie got butchered big time to make an R rating and its still pretty damn good, hard to imagine what the unrated dvd will be, one movie website said its like 15 minutes longer. while not the original it is still a kick ass ride for any zombie fan, go watch it

I downloaded it last night and am gonna watch it now! =D

Yes I'm also gonna go see it at the cinema before anyone jumps on me about supporting films and downloading shit! :p

Well I thought it was class, as good as the original! ;)
It's good how they had a cameo of that guy from the original who says "When there's no more room in Hell the dead will walk the Earth!" :)

Gaz hmmmmm you should really go to the theatre because the only version online is a stupid cam by the group FTF..which is also the worse group in the vcd scene by far :)

I thought this movie really kicked ass. Within the first few minutes I could tell it was gonna be different than a lot of other zombie-type flicks, original, remade, or otherwise.
I have the original Dawn of the Dead, but I think I might actually like this one better...

So I haven't seen the original, but I gotta say I liked this new one alot. I thought there were some hilarious parts, like for instance the celebrity game they play with the other guy on the other building, that was awesome.

Some parts I didn't really like were: How the zombie baby was done. I thought it looked a bit cheesey how it screamed and immediately wanted to attack them and stuff. Then there's the part where the girl goes through a WHOLE SQUARE HALF MILE of zombies to get....her dog. Shit that made me mad. And the last part, that's not such a big deal, is how he threw that heavy heavy heavy ass exploding thing so god damn far.

But hey, can't complain too much. I love zombies, and I liked this movie alot.

That was Ken Foree, Peter from the original. That was also one of his lines in the original. Also making cameos were Tom Savinni as the sheriff ("she's a twitcher. Put another round in her head!") and Scott Reiniger (Roger from the original).

great flick.

Adios,
Steve

got into the theater for free.... stupid people should be on duty.. dumbasses... but anyways.. it was an ok movie.

House of 1000 corpses whipped its ass.. and the elder Nights of the Living Dead i think are far better. It was nice to see it not stray too much from the original, but i don't think it lived up to the hype at all...

but one question:

Does anyone know who the fuck did that acoustic version of Disturbed's Down with the sickness in the begining of the film? I thought that was pretty bad ass interpreation of that song.

No, the guy who sings "Down With the Sickness" is Richard Cheese, contemporary lounge singer extrordinaire. Johnny Cash sings "When the Man Comes Around", and the song at the end of the movie is "People Who Died" by Jim Carrol, of Basketball Diaries fame.

Be sure to check out my special return to this forum with my review of Dawn!!! =)
