Plot Summary for
Creep (2004/I)

Heading home late one night after a party, Kate falls asleep while waiting for her train. She awakens to find herself trapped in the London underground, with all the doors locked for the evening. While being attacked by a co-worker who has followed her, a mysterious unseen creature drags him away and kills him. This begins a terrifying ordeal, as Kate and a young homeless couple are stalked through the dark tunnels by something dangerous with payback on its mind.

I loved this movie. The monster is so well crafted and the depths of his evil are so finely tuned that it requires your complete respect. He works in a sewer, torturing and killing people, and yet part of you feels for him, because his methods are almost sexy at times.

I can't believe this was the directors first film project! So good on so many levels. Success stories like this are very inspirational.

Damn i still haven't seen this, i've picked it up about 5 times to rent but always chose something else instead!
If you recommend it i think i'll get it next time.

this sounds really promising! i'll have to check it out :)

There was nothing sexy about that monster. Not at all.

As for the film, it's good if you have a couple of hours to waste, but it's not stunning in anyway. Franka Potente is entrancing but she can't manage to pull this film up from a standard schlock horror. She's been given a fairly weak role in this movie as a screaming damsel in distress and it doesn't really suit her.

Not too bad, as long as you don't expect too much.

That is my opinion.

haven't checked it out, might have to peep it.

beetlebot nice signature! Ali G Respek!

For what it's worth, I liked this movie.

There are enough good scares and tense scenes to keep most horror purists entertained. The makeup on the creep is excellent, to say the least. Best of all they didn't cater to horror cliches. A very small portion of the creep's back story is explained in a couple scenes. Enough to give you an idea of what is driving this guy. For the most part you are left to decide for yourself what is going on in this guys head.

There are still some holes in the story, but not enough to really distract one from the action.

Franke Potente did the best job she could with the shallow roll she was given. I think the homeless guy and the sewer worker were much better characters with more depth and empathy.

The real credit has to go to the first time screenwriter/director. He managed to pull off a very creepy, very atmospheric film that looks spectacular compared to much of todays big-budget schlock.

While this sure ain't the best movie to come along, it's definitely worth the price of a rental if you are looking for some good scares.
