I thought this was great; 4/5.
I had a few nitpicks with details as I tend to when I've read the book; hair colours, the witch's appearance, etc. But they didn't drive me nuts b/c the details were not heavily stressed in the book (for example, I refuse to see the HP movies b/c of how they have butchered some of these visual details).
I thought Lucy was amazingly well done. She was my favourite character in the book and in the movie as well. All the children were very true to the book, with only Susan being a touch out of character in parts.
I loved Aslan as well. It was really the White Witch, in both appearance and character, who disappointed me. She was not true the book, and she wasn't even scary in her own right. By far the biggest flaw of the movie, IMO.
Aside from the characters, the visual quality of the fim impressed me greatly, and I adore the music. Very good entertainment!
Regarding the order of the books, I think they should be read, and seen as movies, in the order that the Author intended for them to be read.
