Trailer 3

"After taking moviegoers magically into the realm of toys, bugs, monsters, fish, and superheroes, the masterful storytellers and technical wizards at Pixar Animation Studios ("The Incredibles," "Finding Nemo," "Monsters, Inc."), and Academy Award®-winning director John Lasseter ("Toy Story," "Toy Story 2," "A Bug’s Life"), hit the road with a fast-paced comedy adventure set inside the world of cars. Lightning McQueen (voice of OWEN WILSON), a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. On route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town’s offbeat characters –including Sally (a snazzy 2002 Porsche voiced by BONNIE HUNT), Doc Hudson (a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past, voiced by PAUL NEWMAN), and Mater (a rusty but trusty tow truck voiced by LARRY THE CABLE GUY) – who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship. The all-star vocal cast also includes free-wheeling performances by racing legend Richard Petty and Cheech Marin. Fueled with plenty of humor, action, heartfelt drama, and amazing new technical feats, CARS is a high octane delight for moviegoers of all ages."

i heart pixar also. I've been hearing about this for years. About bloody time!

i love pixar - i dont know about this one though. looks kinda lame to me. id probably love it if i saw it though :D im partial to animation

I'm a big fan of Pixar, but I also think this looks stupid. I'll probably rent it when it comes out on DVD if people tell me it was good.

BIG THUMBS UP!

Finally got a chance to see this with ff (wifey) tonight and we both had a blast. Absolutely stunning animation and a solid story kept us smiling for almost the entire run time. The quality of production rivals the best cg animated films. The only lacking factor is frequency of laughs. I'm not saying it's not funny. Some parts are hilarious. It's just that the laughs aren't as relentless as some of the other CGI films.
The one part generally lacking in many cgi animated films these days, the story, was completely satisfying for me. It's kinda like Oliver Stone's U Turn without the murder plot crossed with Days of Thunder, which worked for us rather well.

A lot better than I expected. Even thought Larry the Cable Guy's character was funny. A few clever adult jokes, great animation, predictable but cute story. I voted 3 stars, but I think it's worth 3.5. It can't rate any higher because I never would've seen it if not invited by my little brother and sister.

I thought it was cute, but it doesn't compare to previous Pixar efforts. Their next venture looks like it has potential though.

This movie was sweet to watch, I liked the whole getting back to slower, more meaning full lifestyles plot rather than pixar trying to break some new crazy ground

only thing lacking was that ocassionally you'd be like 'umm, these are cars' when it would get schmultzy or with the 'tractor' tipping but other wise everything was ship shape, espicially the scenery which was sorta like the next big jump in cg movie making
