lindsay lohan still wouldn't be cool if she was in this... that's some serious uncoolness.

I loved every aspect of the movie... and I always turn the tv up when they play that song WHO DAT WHO DAT WHO DAT WHO

Sorry to bump an old thread, I saw this film recently and was enchanted by it. I'm not really a Larry Clarke fan, maybe I just haven't "got" his other movies, (they seemed unnecessarily gratuitous) but I loved this one. (Spoilers ahoy...!)

Was definitely an interesting watch.

Its amazing how stupid people can be.

Am I the only one who found the film so compelling because it all seemed to easy to fall into? I mean a couple of them just ended up going along for the ride, and quite obviously didn't take Lisa Connelly's intentions seriously (really dark element of the film how she is the most pressing in trying to orchestrate the killing yet does nothing and breaks first) until it was too late.
I mean put yourself in the shoes of Lisa's cousin, that Derek kid.

All in all deeply disturbing for me because, seemingly in contradiction to most people, it all seemed so plausible.

great film though. And a truly fantastic ending scene;

I agree. I could see people just thinking they were going to beat the living shit out of this kid not realizing that they were literally going to kill him. The saddest part of this movie is that it reminds me of some people I know. While I don't think I would ever find myself in that situation, I certainly can see how it can happen to some friends or former friends of mine who hang out with people at that idiocy level. Retardation is contagious.

I also know a bunch of wanna-be thugs like the pretend gangbanger who think they can orchestrate a murder when they actually have no idea. I also know plenty of real bad ass motherfuckers, who while glorified so much in film, are actually no fun to be around. Every party you go to with them ends in either a huge riot or with some rivals coming around to fuck up the party. Gun gets pulled, people get pistol-whipped, and everybody has to scatter. Point of this rant is, those people would have fucked this kid up in real life.

its a decent movie. better than gumo but not as good as wassup rockers, and def not as good as kids. IMO

This movie is fucked up on so many levels. I'd like to drop acid and play mortal combat though.

This movie has some nice tits and all, but the characters are unbelievably stupid. bijou phillips is sexy as usual. Brad Renfro is expired now. He died of a drug overdose. And the dude with the annoying voice from "Kids" has a minor part in it.

Bully is worth a rental, probably not buying. Unless you want to masterbate to Bijou Phillips and that girl who is as pale as Casper, cause they get naked a little bit. But you can see them nude on the internet, so not really worth renting either.

Bijou Phillips is a cunt. I hate her for no apparent reason besides the fact that she's a cunt. :X

I've clearly had too much to drink, my aggressive side is coming out. =D

*Goes to pour another and contemplates the thought of watching this movie again*

There is something unavoidably slutty about her, she plays a similar character in Havoc, middle class white girl gone wrong.
She is kinda hot though... maybe that's just me

Agree totally, the characters are supremely flawed and the story simply wouldn't work if it wasn't based off real events, it really wouldn't be believeable.

But yeah, Larry Clark loves his naked teen close ups. (Tulsa & Teenage Lust, his photography books - check them out. Drugs & sex with everything bared)
I like the guy from Kids although at that age he is simply incomprehensible. Voice has improved with age - his name is Leo Fitzpatrick, he's Johnny Weeks in The Wire, too
