Film: Batman Begins

yeah, i don't like the idea of all this 'extra' funky looking crap in batman,

we need to see a grown man, wearing nothing but lycra.

I am definately not a fan of ANY superhero movies. With the exception of what Burton did with the first two Batman movies. The Batman and Robin, and Batman Forever movies are absolutely horrible horrible horrible films. It was almost as horrible as the Adam West tv version, with an updated look and feel.

The Batmobile for this film is crap. It does have a good cast though. I would like to see a film truly redeem this story line. But i think that can only be possible if they got Burton back at the helm.

I likes the aaronofsky batman idea more, where he drove around in a black modified charger, and wore what essentially amounted to a black leather coat and a thin mask.

Is there any place i can read about this?
Batman is my favorite super hero, and requiem for a dream is my favorite movie, so i would love to see aronofsky direct a batman film.

After seeing Christian Bale in "Equilibrium", I have no doubt that he can pull off intense action sequences. I'm looking forward to a whole new franchise. If it can at least equal, let alone top the first movie, I'll be dedicated for life.

I like that they're taking this seriously....superhero movies have an annoying tendency to be written for 8 year olds, when the comics they're adapted from often aren't.

There are some very mature themes and ideas behind Batman, and I'd like to see those explored more.

And please...please dear God don't make this another Batman and Robin...Chris O'Donnell might be cute, but it was still a shithouse movie. And Alicia Silverstone is NO Barbara Gordon.... 8(

^^^ don't worry, the fact that this is a chris nolan film means that it will definitely be what we're hoping.

presumably not as dark or creepy as the burton stuff (though the posters seem to disagree), but i'd say they'll be very serious. this is one of my most anticipated films of next year.

that is a pretty exciting cast. I love seeing all those different people thrown together. katie holmes is finally looking all grown up, she always had that baby face. I didn't see gary oldman in the trailer, is he going to be the scarecrow?

and no batmobile will ever measure up to the one in the first movie. batman begins looks to be a great batman movie without all the cheese from the later movies.

This does look good, but I am sceptical because they have never gotten batman right. The first two had everyone except batman right and the later two got nothing right. I think that christian Bale might be able to pull it off though, I think it was Michael Keaton's fault for not getting batman, he looks far to friendly. They should use the storyline from Year 2: Don't Fear the Reaper, or the Dark Knight returns, they were so much cooler.
