Yes,I know. I was only trying to get a rise out of douche mcflappin. Seriously though. I cannot see how anyone could have given this movie more than two star. I'll stop talking about it now,even though I've had far more fun trashing it than I could ever have watching it.

I have not seen this movie yet, but I am going to. as a child I grew up on a steady diet of Aliens and Predator movies. I read the comic books (which were GOLD, gothic, creepy, and entertaining). hell, I even read the Aliens VS Predator books.

the first AvP did not sit well with me because it was trying to be something it was not, and it was rated PG-13. I am going to go to this movie blazed and kick my feet up in the chair in front of me, regardless if their is a fellow patron there, because that is how you see a movie like this.

^^ I have about every aliens vs predator comic that was made. If you did read them, you would recognize that picture from the first post when the predator stuck his arm thing through the aliens head, it was a picture identical to that in one of the books

Saw it tonight. It was some decent prolefeed. It was exactly what I thought it would be.
Complaining about the absence of plot in a movie called Alien Vs. Predator is like complaining about the plot of a kung fu movie. Or a porno.

Watched this a few days ago. I thought it was relaively entertaining for what it is. However, I could have done without the teen-horror dimension. The sub-plot involving the hot girl/shy guy/jealous ex was pre-packaged rubbish and added nothing to the film... save an additional meatbag or two to get mashed up by the aliens.

The scene where the jealous ex gets his face melted off with alien blood was pure Hollywood morality... be nasty, and the most gruesome death gets saved for you.

I felt there was a sufficient nod to the original films - particularly Predator - with the Predator performing surgery on itself in the tree and making howling sounds. The were also more campy nods to the original series with one character shouting "Get to da choppaaaaaa".

I do agree with previous comments that it was slightly overcooked. By the end of the film, I'd seen those extending teeth so many times that it lost it's impact. I think Giger would be .

I thought the original AVP was better-made film.
