This movie was fucking terrible

Jack Black's scene was the only one even remotely funny.

"That's how I roll"

I'm amazed at the difference in opinion on this movie. I personally, thought it was extremely entertaining, I saw it in the theatre and laughed till I cried.

To all those citing that this movie is bad because it is "stupid": Are you fucking serious? Do you really think that this movie was supposed to have any shred of intelligence or thought? For Christ's sake, its about an egotistical, half-witted, anchorman and the same woman that played KELLY BUNDY, the Queen of Retardation, was supposedly the INTELLIGENT character in the movie. Shouldn't that have given you a hint about the movie before you saw it? In my opinion, the movie accomplished exactly what it set out to. It was filled with great, quotable one-liners, and some of the quirkiest characters I've seen in ages.

And how can you not find AT LEAST Brick (The Weatherman) or the Jack Black scene to be funny?

This is one of the better dickhead comedies of recent years. I likey.
3/4

I can't believe so many people dislike this movie. I've probably watched it about 15 times (it was a regular pre-going out Friday night ritual with my friends for a while).

Every line is quoteable, so, so funny.

i haven't been all that impressed with the comedies we've been given of late and this is yet another. don't get me wrong, it had a few laughs, but the studios just keep churning out mediocre and disposable comedies of this variety, one after another and another (usually with the same actors from snl etc) to make a quick buck. none of them look set to age well compared to the classics of the 70's and 80's.

i love anchorman
a lot of people see and dont like it
but then they watch it again and like it
the funny shit is mostly how they say things or the facial expression they have

the movie was just OK...

but when Jack Black kicked that dog like a fuckin football, I laughed for an hour...
