Well, im going to experiment soon with psychedelics but i need a bit of basic info about:

-Measurement of Units
-Costs
-Precautions

For LSD and Psilocybin Mushrooms

Ive read in the forums about 1/16 and 1/8 but im not sure how to exactly say this, and how much would a dose of shrooms or acid cost in the Los Angeles (california)?

you should find the information you wish at erowid

you will most probably never get the opportunity to know how much lsd really is on a dose you get (unless your friend synthesized it), so heed the advice of people who have taken of the same batch
and then adjust according to your own metabolism if you see that you react differently

potency of mushrooms also varies a lot
ask people who have taken of the batch in question if they are potent and how much they recommand
 
^^ I don't know if price discussion is allowed anywhere on BL - maybe in regional discussion, so check their rules, but I am pretty sure PD rules.

I suspect that measurement units of "1/8" and "1/16" of shrooms is ounce, so recommended dose is between 1/8 oz and 1/16 oz. I would recommend you to be on the lower side for your first psychedelics experience, because you can't really take not enough of psychedelic.

Erowid is good, as well as reading threads from PD Index. You can find links to various threads about LSD, mushrooms and other psychedelics there.

Well, for shrooms you probably need a scale sensitive enough down to 100 milligram units. LSD is usually circulated on blotter papers at 80-100 µgrams for decent batches and up to 200 µgrams for the premium stuff.

The rule of thumb with psychedelics and pretty much any dose sensitive drug is to start low and work your way up from there, with at least a day in between each dose, until you find your comfort zone. With cubensis mushrooms I would start with around 0.5 grams for the first time, and with LSD you can't go wrong with 1 hit for your first attempt.

If you're completely new to psychedelic drugs, you should first try to get your hands on decent LSD before attempting mushrooms, as LSD is usually much easier to dose on and generally more predictable than mushrooms. Nothing is written in stone though, and if you're comfortable with your set and setting you could go as well with shrooms for the first time.

The only thing I stress again and again to new-comers to the scene is to have a good experienced sitter by your side for your first several trials, even if it means compromising a bit of your coziness. You don't want one bad experience to turn you off from the great world of psychs, so take your steps carefully and always apply precaution when needed.
Other than that, just have fun with your experiments! Once you start tripping you're going to have a lot to talk about and to share, and I'm sure you'll find BL to be a great place for all that.

Another option that ensures accurate dosing and frequently cuts down on the cost per dose is checking out psychedelic RCs.

Anyway, shroom dosing certainly varies a lot. I've done it twice and the first time was all fine and dandy but the second was practically twice as strong and one of my tripmates just spouted nonsense the entire time. Another thing, have good friends as sitters/tripmates. You need to trust them entirely.
 
IMO prices are not that good of a reason to choose a psychedelic anyway. You should choose what sounds right for you and then see if you can get it in whatever way that seems reliable to you. However we don't discuss how psychedelics are acquired here, that's against the rules.

What doses you need you can find on erowid and often in the digital (or better yet paper ;) ) form of PIHKAL and TIHKAL, two books that cover a lot of exotic psychedelics. You can just search for that, e.g. google "PIHKAL 2C-E".

Check the Beginners FAQ as well, there is a big green link at the top of the PD page, and check the Index for all big threads on common topics and on specific compounds.

If you are wondering which psychedelic to choose, that question is handled in the FAQ but what it boils down to is we don't like you asking us, we like you doing your homework on a lot of different psychedelics and find your own way by reading things that intrigue you or deter you. That way eventually you should find something that:

- is the appropriate level, some psychedelics are much heavier and others more suited for beginners.
- produces effects in a lot of people that are similar to what you are looking for in a psychedelic
- you could begin to try and get somehow, some are much more rare than others. We all have to reinvent this part for ourselves.
 
is there a certain amount of time i should wait before i drop acid after ive taken MDMA?

i know that certain psychedelics contain chemicals very similar to seratonin, but what i want to know is if it'd be wise to take a psychedelic while the seratonin is depleted/low

so is it? thx again
 
no
just remember that acid will last longer than mdma and may take longer to come up too

but i'd suggest to first take the acid so that you can feel what it is on its own and then take the mdma when you feel like it
 
^ I think he was asking not about candyflipping, but rather doing two drugs alone, and safety of this.

^^ AFAIR, there is no cross-tolerance between MDMA and there should be no problems with doing LSD few days after MDMA. But I am not educated in the field of pharmacology or chemistry, so take my words with a grain of salt.
