Few questions about valium

So,i've recently become really depressed. I have almost crippling social anxiety,I'm scarred out of my mind to make any social contact with almost anyone.

I've heard that valium can fix this, but it's also extremelly easy to become dependant on.
But then again, the way my life is right now I can't see how it could get any worse. If I were to get addicted,I'd think id just be back to where I already am.

No,this is not perscription. I stole some valiums, oxy's,and somas from a parent. i've never done any sort of pills before, just weed and alchohol.

Last night I tried out the soma's,I swallowed one and waited an hour. Felt nothing. So i swallowed another,an hour later I just felt really tired,no "high". Then I parachuted a third one, ended up just falling asleep.

So tonight,I'm thinking of trying some valium,I have quite a few 10mg pills. I weigh about 140. If I parachuted one pill, would that get me high? Or better yet,Would I be able to parachute only half and still feel high? what would be best for a "newbie"?

If you've never taken benzodiazepines before, you probably don't want to go any higher than 10-15mg of Valium.

Benzodiazepines (like Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, etc) are all pretty subtle in their effects. Don't expect to feel "high". You'll feel anxiety relief though.

And yes, benzos are quite addictive.

Since this is a basic dosing question, I'm going to move it over to Basic Drug Discussion.

OD --> BDD

Sorry I'm obviously new here,I didn't know where to put the thread.

And I have no problem with mental addiction,I can beat that easily. Ive smoked tons of ciggerettes, never really felt addicted.

Or would this be one of those addictions where you are literattly in physical pain without them?

Withdrawal from consistent and long-term benzodiazepine usage is on a completely different level of difficultly and pain than nicotine or even opiates is.

Sporadic use is another story. However, it is pretty easy to slip from sporadic use to everyday use.

It'll take a Bit More than just a few stolen diaz 10s to become addicted physically. The first Benzo i ever tried was a diaz 10, and one worked a treat. I cant really get anything out of them anymore tho. Start with one, then see how you go.

That's the thing. I kind of have a lot...I would say somewhere around 30 oxy's and valiums.

Considering my social anxiety,i'm afraid that it'll cure that, and i'll end up liking them too much.

I just wanna forget about my problems for a while, until all of this blows over. I don't really wanna throw my life away.

No one would suggest the oxy over valium right? From my understanding they're way too strong for someone like me too mess with.

If you've no tolerance to opiates then no, its not a good idea you'll probably just feel rough Tbh. Go ahead and take a valium, see if it helps. If it does, then try and use them sparingly. I shall warn you tho, they are moreish.

Oh and just to add, if you want to try the oxy's then that's your choice but exercise much caution with dosage and do NOT take them Together with the valium. Opiate/Benzo combos are notorious for causing people to wake up dead. One or the other dude.

Ok. So.

I decided to try out the valium last night,I took 10mg,waited about an hour and a half and didnt feel a thing. I guess you can say I felt a tad bit more relaxed, but nothing even noticable. So I decided to parachute another 5mg then went and smoked a bowl. Still felt nothing besides the weed.

I don't get it,I didn't feel anything off the soma nor the valium. Am I taking the wrong pills or something? they're small blue pills with the imprint 3927 TEVA.

I don't see how this is "one of the most addictive drugs" when I don't even feel anything from it.

your headed towards a bad path homie. benzodiazepines are a great tool, used in the right circumstances. sitting around at home and eating them while expecting them to cure your depression won't do you much, except leave you wanting to take more to feel something, or pass out. like NeighborhoodThreat, do not expect to feel "high"

do things with your time that will give you genuine happiness. save the valium to calm your nerves on a hot date or something...use them sparingly.

I can't help you on the effects issues, but as those above have pointed out its a pretty dangerous path to tread. If you are going to do it, maybe try mixing going out on and off the benzos? (Assuming you can get the effects working), go out on the benzos to prove to yourself that its okay and you can do it, then try without them the next time. Maybe that way you can make progress towards permanent improvement?
