Hey,

I'm considering volunteering at Beyond the Valley in the med tent. I went last year - a lot of dust in eyes, basic first aid requirements, plenty of drug use largely without issue, but the cohort is on average very young.

A couple of people presented feeling heart palpitations etc after taking dex and whatever else the previous night. All we can really do is reassure them, encourage oral hydration, rest, discourage further drug use for a bit.

I'm just thinking whether it'd be helpful to educate pts on the half life of various drugs? How else to self-manage the symptoms? What do you reckon from a harm minimisation perspective, and would love any good resources too.

Thanks heaps for any thoughts :)

Any form of drug education that leads to positive results is always good!
