ferry corsten?

i like a lot of ferry's stuff....usually pretty energized and hard. LEF and beautiful are some favorites of the last few couple years and i haven't kept up to date with him to see what's out now. would love to catch him live one time.

When Ferry came to DC this past April, he put on one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I saw him at Global this year at Red Rocks and thought he was pretty good. Not my favorite, but not bad. He didn't just walk on stage and press play like Tiesto did last year, so he's got that going for him.

Agreed that spinning and producing are two different things, but personally if I'm going to see someone live, it has to be someone that has produced some tracks of their own that I like, because you never know what they might mix once they get on stage. But then again it's always fun to get a surprise mix of a song you really love.

ferry is good. I like his hard fast beats. few of his remixes are really good cant think of the track names tho.

great dj...but he spins cds.....not a huge plus...

Damn near every big name DJ uses CDJs. What's the big deal as long as the music is good?

eh ill pass on ferry C.

If im going down that road i'll just listen to some Tiesto .

I'm very sorry to hear that.

ferry

I saw Ferry at Quest. His set was pretty ill for trance, but I enjoyed the DnB room more. I'd see Ferry again if I had the chance. But right now I'm really stuck on Frankie Bones.

Yeah I know, and I'm pissed I missed him. Quest was my first rave ever. I went to the used music store in my area after the rave to add to my collection. I was browsing through their dance music and I came across Bones. I gave it a listen and was hooked. I can't wait for the chance to see him. I think he's playing this Saturday in LA but I won't be able to make it to that show. I am going to massive. I know everyone thinks MM will suck but I'm looking forward to it. It will be my second rave and I'm new to the scene so I'm just going to go with an open mind, ready to have fun, and make my own opinion of it once I see for myself.

I saw him twice in NYC, very nice performances; when he comes to new york he always plays hard. Last time, he played such gems as:

Veracocha - Carte Blanche
System F - Out of the Blue

It was a crazy night and one of the best trance shows I've seen recently.

His productions are so so, but his DJing is great.

Those 'gems' are corstens tunes.

Notice how like only 9 of the songs are his? He's a top 5 dj, and less than 25% of the set is his own productions.

Top 5 trance DJ maybe. Saying he is a top 5 DJ is just wrong. He makes and plays generic trance that hasnt changed all that much since he started making it e.g those 'gems' up there.

First of all from what I typed I never said they weren't his, those are just killer tracks, e.g. gems. I simply labeled them correctly, if he uses a different name its a different name.

Also, go to djmag.com, look at their list of top 100 djs. The people at the top of the list mostly play trance. He was top 5 at one point or another. *shrugs*
