Hello im not sure if im posting in the right spot im a long time reader but only my 2nd post. Im a addict with a very high tolerance. I take 160-190 mg of hydacodone (loratab) at a time everyday. Thats 16-18 loratab 10s. Ive neve tried fentnyl but I found some 100 mcg I know chewing is the way to get the most but I can not find any info bout how much I should chew with my tolerance. And im wondering about redosing like if I chew some and a hour later aint right if I chew more will it work bcuz redosing loratab don't work. I dont want to not tak enough and end up being a waste but I dont want to much either please help

I keep getting alot of mixed answers I here some people say wearing the patch will not give a buzz and it takes 12 hours to start working. I hear some people say cut it in 4ths and chew it. If I cut it and chew it and it doesnt work if I chew another peice will they ad together or be like a completely different dose of the same ammount again that didn work the first time

And TBH, if you have the polymer matrix patches, chewing them is a complete waste...A lot of people report not getting much of a "high" from them, but they work well for pain..

It says transdermal..anything I need to know about this kind?. And hydro is weak thats y I take 18 at one time but thats all thats around here. And does the patch really takd 12 hours b4 u feel it unless u chew it?

It doesn't take 12 hours before you feel it. The half-life is 12 hours meaning after 12 hours half of the full dose of fentanyl will still be in your system. (pretty sure thats right). I would suggest trying the transdermal method (put the patch on your skin and leave it there) before you try to chew it or alter it. Getting high off fentanyl is a russian roulette. I know of a story of a girl who chewed up some patches. She was found in her car with the patches still in her mouth, dead from overdose. Be careful.

There's a lot of conflicting reports regarding the effects of fentanyl patches and what one can expect to have happen from using them in different ways..

Using them the way they were intended is the best advice anyone could give you...The mechanism designed to prevent them from being abused is very difficult to crack, and many people have ended up wasting their patches trying to do so...Also, if you do manage to somehow "crack" the safety mechanism, it's highly dangerous and could kill you, seriously!

Just "putting them in your mouth" really doesn't seem to do anything in my experience...but as I said, other people report having success with this method...

There's a few different brands of fentanyl patches out there with different abuse-proof systems built into them, so what would work for one patch, may not work for another...

We have had threads that have discussed this very thing if you use the search engine, but I'm not comfortable having yet another thread devoted to misusing fentanyl patches...so I'm closing this before it goes in that direction..
