I have been prescribed these lil' doozies for chronic pain I received in training in the Army. Military doc's love to keep ya happy. I was just wondering if anyone else has been prescribed these. And if so, what has been your experience. Im like thoroughly wasted it seems...and the pain is pretty much gone. These patches seem effective. Fentynal is apparently an opiate, in the morphine family. Anyone know of any adverse reactions with other pharmies?? Im also on percoset and darvoset. Elevil as well. Ive discontinued use of the others while im on the patch.

shouldn't interact with anything badly, just be careful not to combine with too many downers or other opiates.

what mg patches did you get? i just got ahold of some 100mg fentanyl patches and have never tried them. do these patches knock you on your ass? i'm thinking of operating some heavy machinery whilst under the influence of these. good idea...or no?
 
You shouldn't be on a Fentanyl patch unless you suffer from SEVERE pain: i.e. last stages of cancer, burn victim, etc.
Besides, the lollipops are better.
Anyways, why were you prescribed darvocet and percocet at the same time? Moronic doctors, I swear.
Mixing opiates really doesn't matter too much unless you get to really high doses. Common sense. Say 2 Tylenol 3's = 1 Vicodin and 2 Vicodins = 5mg of oxycodone. You can figure it out more or less.
However why you would want to mix anything with a Fentanyl patch is uncomprehendable to me. You're just going to build up a tolerance really fast and get yourself severely hooked on painkillers.
Also, for the person asking about using heavy machinery, NO, you don't want to do that unless you're familiar with the effects. Fentanyl is really similar to heroin in it's effects.
 
100mg fentanyl patches? i'd sure as hell hope that doesn't exist, u could stay high for a month off one. i'm assuming u are referring to the 10mg patches? he probably got 2.5mg or 5mg patches, most likely 2.5.
 
100mg is a very lethal dose...like the last post said, probably just an oversite.
You are on way too much pain medication. Sounds fun. Fentanyl is really really strong, I wonder if you could extract it from a patch.....hmmmmmm.... enjoy, dont get hooked, it sucks.

yeah i never understand why people would want to combine OPIATES like VICODEn/OXXY and FENTENYL/DARVOCET..
i have heard that one can put a FENTENYL PATCH on, and be high for like 2-3 days..is this true??
also, i have also read that FENTENYL is like 100 times as potent as MORPHINE??true??if so, ya had better not feel any pain!!HAHA
 
Most of you are correct, but once again we have one line incorrect answers.
Fentanyl patches are made to be used for a period of 3 days usually, and they release a set amount of the drug per hour this is the rating, a 10mg will put 100mcg in you per hour, a 7.5mg, 75mcg, a 5.0mg, 50mcg per hour and a 2.5mg 25mcg an hour, obviously this is a system that has to be selected per each patients tollerance, and if you have no tollerance and put on a 100mcg per hour, you might as well just eat it because your going to kill yourself, you use 100mcg in a dose, and that lasts about 4 hours IV when injected, and you have 3 more doses before the first one runs out by putting on a 10mg patch.
I would say that the 25mg is the one to start with for non tollerance, this is 100mcg for 4 hours, a normal dose and also time released a bit. 50mcg an hour is a bit more tollerance, double the 25mcg/h so be careful what you put on, and also dont rub it to hard you risk releasing a shitload at once, and if you get it wet i believe you are at risk of having the whole thing go in your arm so watch it.
All in all i myself wish i could get them as i use so much a day of oxy that it just looks like such a relief to have it constantly delivered over 3 days with no trouble of taking each dose, *me needs badd*.
I am medicated enough on oxy to feel alright, but if i were going to my doc to get pain medication which i think i will have to soon, i definately would ask about them because theyre supposedly abuse proof because either you use it right or you will probably die or come close to it, and its over 3 days so you dont have to worry about taking things on time, its such a nice system for people like me who just cant bare the pain most of the day. And fentanyl is quite strong as well, it should completely abolish any pain and if you intend on using it for recreation, you should be feeling very good for 3 days straight

A warning to people who just happen to aquire one, BE DAMN CAREFUL, IF YOU HAVE NO TOLLERANCE *DO NOT* PUT ON A HIGH DOSE PATCH.
If you have tollerance you still may not have enough for the 100mcg patch, so convert your total daily dose to fentanyl and calculate out the numbers and all, to see what patch you can safely take.

I work with people who get these Fentanyl patches and I have seen 75mg and also 100. The whole dose doesn't go in at once and unless I am mistaken, it lasts for 3-4 days before being replaced by a new one. It is for chronic pain use. We gave a little guy a 75mg and also a hydro.. he was in bad shape. We ended up having to give him Narcan to reverse the effects and this is a guy who was use to heavy duty pain med. SO just be careful!
 
Perfect example, you have to be careful because you can easily take multiple times the dose you usually take, and you will die unless you are given narcan, not fun.
People need to be using the 2.5 mg one, you cant just use the larger ones slower, it goes at the same rate while its on, and its quite enough to od if your non tollerant.

i had been taking up to 3 40mg oxys/day and wanted to get off of them because of how they were making me feel, which was pretty much like shit. but i had already been through the oxy withdrawals once before and didn't want anymore of that. i tried the 100ug fentanyl patch and that pretty much took care of those oxy withdrawals. i only left it on for about 6 hrs through as i was starting to get drowsy and didn't want to go to sleep with that thing on and not wake up. i was still drowsy 4 hrs after taking it off...very strong shit. my plan is to just put it on for a few hours a day, decreasing the time applied each day. i have already read the addiction/withdrawal horror stories about fentanyl.
i got pretty lucky as i was able to get 18 of these 100ug patches for only $80. after only a couple of days without the oxy, i feel a lot better already. oxys are great for the first few days. then the constipation and morning aches start and you wonder why you ever started taking them in the first place. oh....then there's that impotence thing, which also goes away after a few days of abstinence....thank god.
