Fentanyl stolen... Advice please?

Anger And Rage

I am prescribed 50mcg fentanyl patches for chronic pain issues, and a "friend" of mine decided to steal one from the case I keep them stored in. Needless to say we are no longer on good terms and luckily I won't run out because on top of the ten I get a month I am given an extra 3 patches for flair ups / breakthrough pain.

Anyways when I finally got him to tell me what he did with it he said he wore it for about a day and a half, then placed it in hot vinegar for a while, diluted it with water and iv'd it. Along with taking about 4 mg of clonazepam.

I know from reading on this site that its extremely hard to dose and an OD is very possible. Especially when combined with the benzo.

The fact that he stole from a friend just proves he's a junkie in my opinion, and I know he has quite a tolerance. But does anyone have any advice on how to approach him on this, I may be angry but he's been a good friend for the most part for years and I worry for his well being. All it takes is one time of too high of a dose and he won't wake up. I also wonder if he ever took any of my 8mg dilaudid or 24mg hydromorph contin back when I was on them.

Thanks for reading, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're concerned with his well being then go talk to him. I'd also make sure you tell him you're angry fur stealing from you

And he probaly did snatch your dillies if they went missing and he was around. He only got caught this time, sure it wasn't the first time either. Get a lock box

Thanks for the response, he knows I'm angry, I just don't know how to tell him he needs help, once you start stealing its a slippery slope...
The box I have them in is a small chest that is well hidden in my closet, as I have younger brothers and worry about them not knowing what it is and making a mistake. I have no idea how he found it so easily when I was at home when he did it. Must have been in the washroom or something.
Ugh, what a shit mess.
