Opioids Fentanyl Question-Please help.

ok i gotcha. just dont know shit about this stuff except what i read on the papers included with it. it sounds like a tiny amount, 2.5mg, but it's supposedly x-times stronger than morphine, they put me on morphine and it did not do shit for me. i cant figure out what 2.5mg of fentanyl equals in terms of oxycodone or oxycontin. blah....i can't exactly talk to the dr about it cuz it would raise a red flag. luckily, i will get my normal RX in a couple days, but if/when i run out i still have the patches to hold me over...i still want to know how they equal out. . . where are pharmacist friends when u need one??????
 
I just take a patch and peel off the back plastic as per the instructions and instead of putting it on my arm, I put it in my mouth. When I achieve a good place, I take it out and put it on my calculator or other safe spot away from kids/pets. When I feel really crappy and nothing else is working, I put it back in my mouth and suck on it an hour or so until I feel good. Then I take it out again. I do this until all the gel is dried up.

I would never open up a patch unless you've already used most of the gel up. In fact, when most of it's gone, I then chew it to get the last of it.

Be careful not to put one in your mouth (a new patch especially) at night or when you are tired so that you don't fall asleep for 8 hrs with it releasing fentynl all night. I've done that a few times...

I always save my patches for when I run out of my perks. Just pop one in your mouth for an hr or so until you feel good. :) Sorry, don't know too much about how much fentynl equals oxys...too complicated and it's too dangerous to open up and take oral like that. Also, you don't want to increase your tolerance bc then your oxys won't work as well.
 
jhoe, what I gather, which may be only a ball park figure but I think it is rather accurate is that 100 MICROGRAMS (MCG) not MG (milligrams) is equal to 5-7.5mg of Oxycodone.
 
I really wouldn't recommend extracting the fentenyl to get high. I've heard so many people ODing on that I just don't think it's worth it, pretty sure it has a higher OD ratio than any other drug.
