Fentanyl Patches

Oh I have just bought three Fetanyl patches. Two are 75 micrograms per hour and the third is 50 micrograms per hour. I tried getting some of the 25's but I could not.
I am scared to take anything over 25. If I were to take the 75 what could happen or even the 50's.
I have used a lot of opiates and almost all kinds of opiates.
Would it be safe to take one of the 75’s?

Depends on what you mean by "take"... if you're cutting the patch open and banging it- be careful-if you're just wearing the patch for fun- you can just wear for a short amount of time (hence the /hour part of the dose). Wearing the 75 for one hour will give you 75ug... You can speed up the delivery by heating (wear a heating pad over it) but be super careful...
Again, be a little more specific about your method.

Maybe, maybe not. What's your tolerance like? If it's low/none- wear the patch for a few minutes and then take it off. Wait, see how you feel. Read up on the danger signs of fentanyl od- shallow breathing is the big one. If you're good, put the patch back on- take off etc. It's time released so you're not going to get all 75 mics at once.

I believe once you take the patch off you cannot reapply it to the skin.. but I have a fuzzy memory pertaining to that.
 
75ug wont kill you, though it might take you out of comission for awhile.. sounds like most of the people here have never had any experience with the patches .. once you put them on the membrane will be destroyed if removed - of course you can have some success with it, but you're really best to just leave the damn thing on.. after you wear it for about 2 days (and the high is just about gone) you can then slice it open and smoke the gel - to do this right away can be dangerous, but once you have the tollerance built up, and once a good portion of the drug is gone, it's ok to do this! (just don't smoke too much) ..
 
patches take some time before they start to effect you. Putting the patch on for a few minutes will do nothing. Once you start to feel the effects your in for a ride. You cannot just put the patch on, then pull it off when you feel like, it doesnt work that way. And yes, depending on your tolerence, you can die. Fentanyl is an extremely powerful opiate, and should not be taken lightly.
 
I imagine this isn't the smartest way to do it, but when we used to get the 100 ug patches, we would snip the corner, squeeze out a tiny bit of gel, and apply between the cheek and gum. I imagine this is actually pretty dangerous, but we always just used a tiny bit. You can always increase the dose, so if you do choose to do it this way, start out VERY small.
Oh, and somewhere I heard that the patch, when used as directed, takes a couple of hours to kick in.
 
Yeah! What I have read all these people say is very true. . I have been doing these on and off for a several months now, a variety of ways.
My best advice to get the full advantage of these would be to take a week or two and build up a decent tolerance(1st day or two- Vikes,percs, etc...)(a couple days later some higher end pain pills,ocs or a strong syrup - tusionex)(at the end of the week- a bag or two of dope)- then i usually use these as my rush of the month before I start to ween myself back down!
With a decent tolerance!!!!!Do the following.
I would shave an area on the body(It really doesn't matter where)then put it on, you really won't feel anything for about 4 hours or so. wear it till you start nodding then remove and you should be good for awhile. . I wouldn't advise wearing through too many nodds, until you become familiar with them...(and save the patches). These are like no other though, to me they feel really chemical if I don't have my tolerance up.
My third time I actually made it through two and a half days!!! Woohoo! What a weekend!
 
Question, would a 25ug patch floor a noob with 0 tolerance if used as it's meant to be on the skin?
50ug?
 
I have had NO success with wearing patches and getting high, I have always had to eat the gel....
i probaly just suck though.
 
Most people will get a signifigant high from taking the patches as directed.. my first experience was with a 50ug patch - I had something of a tollerance at the time (say, I had to snort 40mg oxycodone to get a decent buzz, I was going through maybe 400mg oxycodone per day) .. that 50ug patch had me messed up for a good 2 days .. on the flipside, later (several months) I had decided to give it a go again - this time I had NO tollerance and had been totally sober (100% devoid of opioids for at LEAST a week) .. I put on a 100ug patch and was wrecked but not to the point I was risking death or anything .. of course the drive home proved slightly unsuccessfull...
Yeah, you can take the gel orally but I recomend you get damn fimilar with the drug first - and remember, there is enough drug in there to kill you several times, it does not take much gel to do the job!
 
Wierd.. sounds like a pretty hefty tolerance (at least to me)
America, what was your tollerance like at that time and what was the strength of the patch that you used?
 
I think another good thing to add would be to apply the patch to a part of the body which doesn't move around that much... like on the flat of your tricep. When I originally tried it and put it over my heart, everytime I bent over, or reached for something with my left hand across my body, the patch would bend slightly. These things don't stay on that great IMO. My cheesy method of making sure that it's air-tight was to put tape around the edges of the patch. It stays on better and you don't get any air bubbles which could tamper with your precious narcotic.
But I usually just eat the gel. But I'm gonna try PhreeX's smoking method once I can get myself some lower dose patches. I've yet to experience a 'rush' so this might do it. Everybody say their goodnight prayer for me that my pharm hook-up scores patches soon!
