Fentanyl patches

actually if you start small, smoking can be a good way to gauge your dose. put a tiny tiny amount of gel on the foil and smoke it real show..this method often provides the best rush. i wouldnt only recommend this if you have a decent tolerance though.

you have to have the sandoz gel patches though obviously.

Word, at the time I only had a 40mg oxy tolerance. The fent made me nod more then most opiates (a few years down the line) make me do through the iv method. Of course, it was all kind of relative to how long I held the hit in... almost/but not really like a hit of nitrous. I don't know, it's hard to explain.

Ok, well I think that I have found the best way to do it, other than wearing them. Cut off about 1/4 of it and stick under your tongue with the sticky side facing up. Every now and then, chew on it and you should start feeling it about 45 minutes in. Swallowing it at the end is at your own risk. Only recommend it if you have a decent tolerance and after you have been working on it for a while.

im bout to fall asleepso i wont read this whole thing but, the generics contain more fent then brand 50 mcg is 5 mg and brand is only 3.6 mg. an important thing to know is the mcg of the patch bc im pretty sure the stronger the patch the more concentrated it is.

So, I munched on 1/4 of the patch today at work and it lasted like five hours. It was great. Now, I'm doing it again and it's been an hour and 45 minutes since I started and it's not as strong. Could an immunity have built that quickly to it?

Yes. I have absolutely no scientific proof to this, but the best way I can explain it from my own experience, and this is ALL speculation so keep that in mind.

It seems to me like after dosing Fentanyl once for the day, even if you redose at the same level later on, you won't get nearly as strong effects from it. I believe (again, speculation) it's because with such a relatively short amount of time between doses, that the first dose is still occupying your opioid receptors. Fent has a pretty strong binding affinity, as can be attested to by people on Suboxone maintenance like myself having a much easier time "breaking through" with Fent than any other opiate. It seems to me like redosing later in the same day, the second dose almost has trouble "breaking through" because when I've waited and dosed a full day after, I'll get the same effects from an equal dose, where as dosing an equal dose later in the same day has much less affect on me. This could all be in my head for all I know, but it's the only thing I could think of that would cause this when it happened to me.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Fent will absolutely sky rocket your tolerance for all other opiates, so if you want to still be able to get off on the occasional line of OC/dope or popping some Norcos, use it very sparingly.

Well, I only have a couple patches anyways. Since I have been on this bit for a little while, can I just take some more and "break through"?

I honestly don't want to answer that question because as I said, all of that info I posted is pure speculation on my part. You know your tolerance much better than anybody here. If you think you can handle more, it's up to you. With a 25 MCG patch and your tolerance, my OPINION is that you'd probably be okay to take another small strip, but it's just that; my opinion, and you'd know better than me. Even without much of an opiate tolerance I've ingested an entire 25 MCG Duragesic brand patch over the span of 3-4 hours and been alright, but I wouldn't suggest anybody do that.

Woah, that's pretty intense. Is it normal for a first time user's high to last 4-5 hours on a quarter of a strip? You usually swallow them after a while of chewing?

I'd say 4-5 hours is about par for the course as far as Fent goes. I always swallowed after chewing on them for a while. I actually like those Mylan patches more than the Duragesic gel patches. Like I said earlier in the thread, you're clearly not where you "want to be" as far as high goes, so take very small amounts, waiting at least 45 minutes between doses until you reach your desired level. I just can't reiterate enough, go small. You can always take more, but.. yadda yadda yadda, you've heard us all say it a hundred times now, heh.

i agree with the last thing you said- i dont think any one reading this who doesnt have much of an opiate tolerance should try to do that much in one sitting. (whole patch)

fentanyl is really dangerous, and it really shouldnt be used at all if someone doesnt have a tolerance, as the margins for error are far too slim. if you are going to try it anyway, take it really slow. using very very small strips of a patch work (if it is not gel) if you suck on them, but when swallowing them you have no way to know if you have taken too much until too late.. at least if you just leave it in your mouth you can control it a lot better, taking it out, using a smaller piece etc. if you have gel smoking works too, but again start with a very small pinhead (the sharp end of the pin) size drop of gel. vaporize that and redose after 15 minutes or so if its not enogh, but never put too much on the foil at once.

There was a story on Opiophile a few weeks back of a guy with a very hefty opiate AND Fent tolerance who OD'ed because their method of smoking was always just to dump the whole patch onto to foil and take "small hits" which is a terrible idea to begin with. Long story short, he got the foil too hot and ended up smoking an entire 75 MCG/HR patch in one hit and nearly fell out. Came to at home a few hours later not really remembering what the fuck had happened.

Anyways, the moral of that story is, as he said above, start with tiny amounts.

yeah i never understood that- just leave the lighter on for a couple seconds too long, or suck a little too much smoke and youre done for.

best way is definitley to put small drops, pinhead sized, and have no more than a small hit's worth on the foil at once. you can always put more on there for another hit- its too easy to fuck up if you just have a big glob on there instead.

No. It would be way too dangerous.

If you get high one day, its going to take a lot more to get just as high later on that same day. If you want the same high you had originally, its best to wait till a new day to try again.

I have never had an opiate that gave me effects carrying into that long.

I remember waking up wearing the fentanyl patch on after sleeping with it, (DON'T SLEEP WITH THE PATCH ON. DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO), and just scrunching my toes in euphoric bliss and then going back to bed. It was the most orgasmic drug experience of my life. Fentanyl is some crazy stuff.

Yeah. That's my story. I guess.
