Fentanyl patches

So, I seem to have come across some of these little beauties and don't know what to do with them. I'm thinking about just putting them on, because everything else sounds too intense. I have a lot of experience with other opiates, but never patches. Any suggestions?

For the sake of harm reduction, just wear them.

That being said... I have a lot of experience with Fent, but I've never actually worn a patch, heh. I always just clipped a corner and started with a TINY amount of the gel under my tongue, proceed until desired effects are achieved. But when I say start off with a tiny amount, I fucking mean it. Fent is not to be fucked around with, it is dangerous stuff. I'm talking squeeze a match head sized little glob out onto your finger and place it under your tongue. Wait 30 minutes... if you're not as high as you'd like, do it again. The age old saying "You can always take more, but you can never take less." rings especially true with Fent.

Good advice....I think that I will try that, after I open it and don't use it all, how should I store it until I want to use it again?

You fucking nutso dude? Wearing a patch is fatal if you don't even know the man's tolerance, weight, anything. You could of killed the man.

You want harm reduction?

Here, jayzhova, for some harm reduction tips:

First, tell me how many mcg the patches are.
Secondly, I want you to tell me how much you weigh,
Finally, I want to know your opiate tolerance.

Don't listen to Opiocorpus, man! His advice can KILL you.

Please, post back and tell me you're OK, then I can properly help you use the patches in a safe and effective manner.

Be safe!

I always just stuck it back in the foil and put it in the 'fridge.

Center: The guy said that he has a lot of experience with other opiates. I think some things are a given when you're dealing with somebody who clearly isn't a complete opiate naive moron.

Also, height/weight have VERY little to do with how well a person handles opiates. I've seen with my own eyes a 5'4", 120 pound girl wear a 100 mcg/hr patch for three days and not catch a nod, and I've seen a 6'3", 200+ pound man eat a tiny bit of gel and not be able to hold his eyes open all night.

The truth is yes, Fentanyl is very dangerous, but the dangers do get overhyped a bit on the internet, mainly because of all the dope that was going around a few years back that was clandestinely produced Fent that was causing people to fall out.

In short, somebody that by their own words "has a lot of experience with other opiates" is not going to keel over from wearing a patch, no matter what dosage per hour the patch is, unless he's taking other CNS depressants with it, which anybody with ANY experience should know not to do. So... calm down. Put on a Fent patch or something.

Oh god, no word back...

What's with the paranoia on this site today? It's been half an hour since his last post, gimme a break. Some people have better things to do than sit on BL when they're sailing. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people, so here I am.

Don't use subjective experiences as basis for advice to complete strangers. You need to learn the lay of the land, my friend.

Over-hyped my ass. You know there's a reason why it's heavily controlled and is considered one of the strongest semi-commonly prescribed opiods, right? It's DANGEROUS. Doctors and scientists disagree with you, so I do as well.

You don't know his gauge of "level of expertise". Don't ASSUME. It makes an ASS out of U and ME...but simply you, on this matter.
So... calm down. Put on a Fent patch or something.

Next time you suggest anyone to take a drug, I'm reporting you. Final warning. We do not promote drug use here on Bluelight. We encourage the safe use of drugs. Learn the lay of the land, and don't break the ground.

If you thought I was serious when I said to put on a Fent patch, and didn't pick up on the sarcasm there, then there's just no point in carrying on any sort of conversation with you. Up tight much? Later.

This is turning into a bitching war. Did you know there's no such thing as a sarcasm UBB tag/HTML tag? Up tight? I'm down loose. I don't want problems with you at all man, I just want you to learn that this is a harm reduction community and not a drug promotion community. Thats all. Spreading the love and good joy, man, is all.

Oh no....I'm dead! Just kidding guys, I'm at work right now. I really should be strait doing either. I have been taking opiates through the nose and mouth for years and plenty of them. The fentanyl patches are only 25 mcgs anyways. My body has been trained and conditioned with large amounts of drugs for years (not too proud of, but kinda ;-)) and have been working with physicians for almost a decade. I'll be good, just wanted to know what you guys did.

Glad to hear you're cool man. Glad to know.

It's just hard to gauge by text, you know? I dunno. I'm dizzy.

Is this something that would be better on an empty stomach? If you would compare the effectsto something, what would it be like and intensity?

Ok, so I open the package up and it's just a clear, thin patch. I cut the corner off and there is nothing oozing out of it. What gel is everyone talking about?

You've got mylan patches there . the goo comes from the Sandoz ones i believe .... or i may have that backwards .. but what you can do with those ones is cut them into strips ... but ill let someone else provide an estimate on dosage but you can use them buccally or sublingually or even eat them if my memory serves me right ...

jayzhova-

Easy with the patches, if you are to play with the gel. Fentanyl is not distibuted evenly within the goo, meaning you could conceivably get the goo into your body through your method of choice and not catch a buzz, then smoke a pinpricks worth of the goo with the fent and be completely laid out.
I don't trust those patches for recreational shit. You gotta think, 25mcg of anything must be some pretty powerfull shit right?

Even for the opiate tolerant, start with the 25 as baseline. But remember, you put that patch on and you conceivably may not want to go to work for a few days, I don't know how demanding your job is- but if you do work around MD's and other trained personell, they may notice that delightfull narco grin is too delightfull.
