Ok so im about to get a 75ug fentanyl patch and need help cutting it so i can share with my low tolerance opioid friends.... an experienced friend of mine said to cut it up into 6 patches and one patch would be enough for a person with lower tolerance???... thanks for any help.

Fentanyl is not a good choice for people with low tolerance. It is very strong and very easy to overdose.

Do you have any idea what you or your friend's actual tolerance is to anything else? If they've not tried anything else, they definitely shouldn't be having any. If they have, you can try to make an estimate about how much fentanyl would be safe using an opioid converter, but it is very very risky.

Remember that a 75mcg patch is 75mcg per hour, and is meant to be worn for 72 hours, so it contains a lot more than 75mcg in total. This is very important if you don't use the patch by wearing it on your skin but use it buccally (on inside of your cheek) or smoke it, as the fentanyl will be released a lot more quickly than 75mcg/hour, and it is very easy to overdose!

If you do wear it, again it is easy to overdose as it takes about 8 hours to reach peak blood concentration of fentanyl. If you suddenly realise it is too much for you and take the patch off, fentanyl will continue to be released into your bloodstream - when you stick a patch on, some fentanyl is released into your subcutaneous fat where it is slowly released into the blood, and removing the patch will not stop this. Your blood concentration of fentanyl can continue to rise for several hours after taking the patch off.

Overall, we couldn't possibly say if cutting it into 6 would be safe or not, not knowing how much you or your friends can handle - but there are a lot of reasons why fentanyl is not safe, especially for people with low opiate tolerances. Please be very careful..

^^ this

If anything I'd say to smoke it on foil if you have the proper kind. It's the best way to titrate the doses, and it gives an awesome rush. doesn't last long, but it would make for a good night with buddies

i put two of those patches on about six years ago. i was feeling great, sat down, and woke up in ICU with tubes down my throat and in my urethra. doctor said i had a heart attack and should have died. it was awful, i do remember the narcan injection though, how can i forget being strapped down and vomiting in my own lungs?

point is, maybe you shouldn't do it if you're asking us how to use it.
