Fentanyl Patch 25MCG

SO my doctor put me on fentanyl 25mcg patches, i dont plan on abusing these but about 2 hours ago I took 150mg of tramadol and 20mg of hydrocodone as well as grapefruit juice. Can I put this patch on now, I have a pretty high tolerance i dont really get a big high from 30mg of hydro, and just a few weeks ago I was snorting 6mg of hydromorphone a day but I only had 25 of them.
 
You don't sound like you have a high enough tolerance to add the patch to that cocktail. I would wait a few hours before putting it on. It all really depends on what you came off of when your doc put you on the patch. What did you have before and what dose were you at?

Well I waited until it had been about 4 hours after injesting that tramadol and hydrocodone.

Its hard to describe my tolerance, I can take 5mg oxymorphone up the nose every 4 hours and be okay. I dont nod that is im never after the nod. But I dont have a solid supply of opiates so my use is eradic. I was on 8mg of suboxone about 3 months ago but i jumped off cold turkey but finally started doing opiates again about a month later. i take 400mg of tramadol a day, but do not take it now that i am on the fentanyl. I have been known to take 10 to 14 hydros a day but try to keep its use down du to its apap. I did have those hydromorphs and snorted 4 or 5 2mg pills in a 12 hour period with 0 nod but feeling great.

i feel fucking wonderful right now 3 hours into a 25mcg patch, no nod but just a NICE blanket warmness, and slight cns depressant protperites so far, but I understand peak efficieciecy isnt going to happen until like 12-24 hours is there a chance of od likle when sleeping.

i dont think you quite understand what having a high tolerance is....i consider myself to have a RATHER high tolerance as i take at least 80-90mg of hydro at a time and that is a bare minimum just to feel it. It takes around 130-150 mg to really get off and a bit more to get any nod like qualities from hydrocodone. I know people who get no high from hydrocodone at all anymore and HAVE to take dilaudid or opana or something like that by snorting or IV to even IV'ing or snorting OC's. I IV oxymorphone and sometimes take it intranasaly when i dont feel like going to wal mart to get syringes. As far as the fent patches they are pretty powerful but are you on the gel patches or the Mylan patches that are just like a piece of tape? if you have gel patches their are many ways to abuse them and catch a righteous buzz, the Mylans are a little harder to abuse but you CAN cut them into pieces and chew on them and it WILL knock your ass out if your not careful haha. But for either patches (Gel type or Mylans) you can throw a heating pad on top of it and it will speed up the process. The patches release 25 micrograms of Fent per hour and putting a heating pad on for about 20-25 minutes at a time will release it much faster (depends on the heat of the pad as to how much) but it is a significant difference when you add heat too it. but like i said if you told me exactly what patches your on i can shed some more light on them for you my friend

Yeah man i understand, my tolerance isnt super high or high at all but its def not naive. my main concern is od just from normal use. i just dont want to go to sleep and not wake up. It is the watson duragesic clear gel patch, i do not plan on chewing, heating, sucking or smoking it at all as I feel i could find myself dead soon. I just want to make sure its not too much that i die, i dont give a fuck if it fucks me up all month i just dont want an od, but as ive said ive snorted 12mg of hydromorph in a day and also done opana and suboxone as well as methadone before and never nodded, in fact i have never went to a nod period but have had the deaded wake up with a deep breath before from like morphine along time ago. i plan on staying up ext late tonight and possibly even taking some bronkaid as a precaution what do you gusy think?

As you said your not naive to opiates so as long as you feel fine you should be ok. I will tell you that the only time i've ever had the waking up gasping for air happen to me is when i was on a fent patch... but it was 150 mcg/h and i was wearing one while chewing on a quarter of another one so i was doin the damn thing lol but i think you'll be ok dude you seem like you know your ways around a pill, the patch is just somethin you will forget about while your wearing and if you start poppin too many opiates or benzo's you'll be gone before ya know it so just be careful with those but enjoy at the same time!
 
Also curious if when i put it on am i supposed to spread the gel out with my finger?

Thanks for all the info man I appreciate it. Back in the day before my pres my friends would buy these from a guy and smoke them, i called them fuck your face patch, cause well thats what they looked like. Im hard up for cash but id never sell one of these out of fear of going to prison for the rest of my life cause four stupid kids stuck a patch up their ass or something. ANd I def dont want to be that man-child on the news who dies from sucking on a patch that was near his arm pit, know what im saying?
 
yeah i hear ya man. I enjoy them but i wear em and chew em. I never smoke the gel or anything that buzz is just too temporary to me when you could have a buzz for 72 hours haha. I have been much more careful with em since i woke up gaspin for air that one time. My buddy swears up and down i was dead for about 30 seconds.
 
I know they should give known opiate addicts narcan or something in case of overdose, cause doesnt that basically rip it off the receptors however would that even work with fentynal i imagine it would just say fuck off narcan
 
^Mu receptor affinities go like this I believe.

buprenorphine>fentynal>naloxone>morphine

However since fent is at such low concentrations it can still be booted by the relatively much larger amounts of naloxone. Bupe however does not respond much to naloxone.
 
assuming it's one of the polymer matrix the patch is going to take up to 12 hours to reach peak blood plasma levels. you will be fine if you intend on wearing it as directed.
 
how much does putting a heating pad on it speed it up? if its just a little i wouldnt mind that as I just cant get the rest of this pain to subside.
 
it depends on the heat. I turn my up to where its kinda uncomfortably hot and that speeds it up a good bit as long as you leave the pad on. If you run the pad on like medium for about 15 or 20 minutes and i think you'll be where you want to be. You'll be able to tell how much the euphoria is building up and you can judge for yourself. Maybe you only leave the pad on for ten minutes its all depending on your tolerance and how much you can handle.
 
yeah I think ill do some hot water in a bottle on it for like 2 or 3 minutes and wait a bit to see what happens.
 
your gonna need to leave it on longer than 2 or 3 minutes. Its gonna take at least like 10 minutes to make a difference because it has to heat it to the point where it delivers the next dose to you now...or the next 3 doses....lol like i said it all just depends and you'll be able to figure it out.
 
This is the bane of fentanyl i can tell already, dosage is so fucking hard to play around with, and chewing and or smoking it is not a good idea until your tolerance can truly handlke t

Not only is the zone you are aiming for so small (and missing a little bit big equals unconsciousness) the high when successfully reached is short and not very pleasurable.
