Opioids Fentanyl oral effects

I've never bought heroin or fentanyl before, it was supposed to be heroin but it's a blue powder which I read is most likely fentanyl, I sniffed some earlier and it worked and lasted about 2 hours maybe, but now I couldn't find a straw so I took a dose orally. What's the difference, and how long does it take to kick in?
