fentanyl lollipop questions

I think the fentanyl lollipops were used reguarly in hospitals and were targeted for children to use as pain relief or as a pre med for OT. A lollipop probably seems more appealing to a kid than a needle..

It has nothing to do with kids per se. The fact is that the lollipops allow for the person to titrate their own, effective dose for breakthrough pain management. They're often used in conjunction with other longer acting opiates like extended release pills.

Those lollis r tha shit! Kinda expensive when ya can find em round here, though. Greatest thing is u could go anywhere w/ a lolli in ur mouth; nobody really suspects anything.

FYI for anyone who has never seen one of these lollipops, they don't look exactly like kids lollipops. They have a smaller sucker and are on a white stick that says "Atiqu", or something similar. They are for breakthrough cancer pain and should be treated with great respect. Any amount of fentanyl can be lethal, just like with my methadone rant above - please take care.

Jesus, where do you people get these things? (Just wondering aloud, not sourcing)

Right, they used to look like that until Cephalon changed the design.

i think he was referring to the pic of the kid eyeing the lollie how could they use a kid in the ad campaign when a safe dose has not been established for someone under 16?
 
It takes about @ least 50 mg oxycodone to get me a nod, so about how many micrograms of fentanyl should it take to get me nice? I took 400 mcgs I think before -n- felt nothing (except relief of W/D) so....
 
So, yeah im confused. If there is 1.2mg in a 1200mcg lollipop, there is 10mg in a 100mcg/hr patch, then assuming i can eat allthe gel out of 100mcg/hr patch by myself over about 4 hours, would it be possible to just take down a whole 1200mcg sucker in one bite and be able to survive?
 
I'd split it up over the same 4hrs unless I'm missing somethng... never tried it, but want to... how does it comepare to oxy...
 
i find it pretty similar to oxy, but i dont get the warmth from fentanyl that i do with oxy or other opiate/oids for that matter.

Do you mean split up the sucker over the same 4 hours? because that would be less of a dose than it would be splitting a patch up over four hours.

with suckers you can pretty much feel the effects instataneously...soo when you feel good enough....just put it down....I have had 3-4 1200mcgs suckers in a 24 hour period, and was fine...i was getting them for free, If I hung out with this guy, so i did it...but that was simply the best day of my life and dont flame me for it..It is possible to know your limits, but unless you have a major tolerance than dont try eating 3 suckers.....if you have no tolerance try an 800mcg....in my case its hard to "pick" what mcgs you want.....they just usually call me up and say "hey i got the ___mcgs suckers, want one?"...but like i said before, you can usually limit yourself well on these, unless your a dumbass
