Opioids Fentanyl hcl solution dangers

I just mixed 35mg of fent hcl powder with water about 1.5 hrs ago. I placed the baggie of fent into water as I cut it open under the water to release the contents completely submerged without having any airbourne paritcles.

I immediately sealed and put away, wiped down area and washed hands. Then I disposed of trash and jumped in the shower right away. I did not have gloves (big no no!!!!) but I don't think I touched anything.
I'm very worried now, how long would it be after making this mixture would I know that I did or did not expose my self to any fent. Any incidental absorbance would most likely result in my death! Needless to say never doing that again.

Update: I beleive all is well

35 milligrams is a huge amount of fentanyl. 1 1/2 hours is a long enough time to know if you've insufflated any airborne fentanyl or touched your eye with a few micrograms of it on your fingertip, but man, no gloves? Be careful, bro!

^^^ I know, 35mg is enough to kill me 200 times over and i'm terrified of it. If I accidentally got some on my skin, would I be able to know after 2 hrs?

I'd say so, but I'd err on the side of caution and really scrub your hands, forearms and nails with a good amount of soap and luke warm water. I'd say hot, hot water would be counterintuitive since it would just boost the absorption rate of any fentanyl on your skin.

How is that you were able to avoid getting it on your hands without using gloves? I'm a bit confused, though (not unusual). You submerged the bag under water and cut it open from the bottom, right? So your hands would have been in a bath of fentanyl water? I know that can't be right, since you're still here talking to me, lol. Can you help guide me through the process a bit? I'm here for a while man so if you wanna chat until you feel like enough time has passed, I'll keep replying, lol.

I used tweezers to hold the bag underwater and cut with sciccors, hands were not submerged. Have you done transdermal before? What's the timeline like? I can't tell if I feel any effects yet because I'm so worried. I really don't wanna have to go to the ER.

Be careful. So much about Fentanyl lately. This is hard core and it could kill you.
Wish my best to you!

Gotcha, I probably could've pieced that together myself but my brain isn't what it used to be, lol.

Yeah, I used to cut the 50 ucg/hour patches (matrix-gel type, not gel-splash type) into sixteenths. I would then stick one of the strips between my gum and cheek. Timeline for me (sublingual) was pretty rapid. I'd say come-up 5 - 8 minutes, peak 10 - 50 minutes, then come-down 55 - 120 minutes, then gone, like nothing ever happened. Very strange and unique opioid. Let's just say, "you can't miss it."

Let me warn you - The CNS effects of fentanyl vs its euphoric properties are way off-balance. I would be nodding out, drooling all over myself, cigarette burning a hole in the bed sheet, thinking "when is this shit gonna kick in?" Very weird and dissociative feeling. Go slow, man.

Dose for me was 50 ucg with a tolerance of 30 mg oxycodone oral.

Well I have no opie tollerance, you said you put the patch in your mouth, did you ever put it on your skin.
I read that the transdermal onset could be 6 hours which would be hell of a wait.

Yeah, put it on the skin, felt it after a few hours, but it made me feel really ill, so I took it off. I want to say I felt it after five hours, but my memory is a bit hazy. It's a lot faster acting than the buprenorphine patches, which take a full day to begin working.

5 hours! wow, This makes me more worried, cause that means if I absorbed some on my skin, I won't know for 5 hours. Also, the dissociation worries me to. Like I could be past the point of know return before I could call an ambulance or something.

You still cool bro? If you're in the state of mind where you're like "do I feel something? Or don't I?" then you're fine, but if you start to get extremely tired (if you're like me, you're an anxious person, but trust me, you will KNOW the difference in feeling), or start to feel really high, throw up, it might not be a terrible idea to just hit up the ER, man. They're going to monitor your vitals and give you a shot of naloxone, which is unpleasant as HELL, but it's a day or two of feeling shitty compared to accidentally poisoning yourself my brother. Also, make sure any clothes you were wearing are thrown out or soaked in water and then put in a trash bag for disposal if you haven't done that.

May I ask what you're going to do with the fentanyl solution now? Prepare for separate doses?

It's not so dissociative that you won't be able to seek emergency help. Absorption through the skin is progressive in low doses, so you'd slowly feel higher and shittier. It's important that if you start to feel like that, that you get shot up with naloxone (opioid overdose antidote, not to insult your intelligence since you probably know already) so you can keep on living and doing stupid shit like not wearing gloves when handling 35 mg fentanyl ;)

I may be starting to feel slightly dissociated or it may be psychosomatic. Thank You much sir! I hope others chime in, certainly, there is more than one person with fent knowledge here.

The latter, man. You'd feel high, not just dissociated. I'm just describing what a medium-strong dose of fentanyl felt like to me (along with nodding out, drooling, dropping shit).

Just stay awake for three or four more hours and then take another shower just to be safe, why not right? Bottom line is that it sounds to me like you didn't get anything on you, since you didn't pull away from the fentanyl bath with droplets of solution on your skin. I would never tell someone they're 100% okay since I just don't know, but dude, it sounds like you're going to make it out of this OK. ;p

Yeah I know that's why I am terrified and I have my car running in case I need to go the ER. More particularly: any advice regarding transdermal exposure to fent and OD. Timelines ect. I see that the onset of analgesia is 6-8 hrs which makes me worried as it has only been 3.5 hrs in

If the fentanyl was already dispersed in the water for a few seconds when you wrapped it all up, a droplet on the skin isn't going to kill you if you washed it off. The thing that you're not realizing is that the patches release the fentanyl in slow increments, which is why you're seeing an onset of "5 - 8 hours", when in reality, fentanyl on the skin outside of the transdermal patch has a much faster timeline (think minutes).

No problem, bro. Try to relax, watch some TV, don't think about it. If you concentrate on everything you feel that doesn't seem "normal", it's going to give you a hellish panic attack. Make sure your preparation area is completely clean and your clothes are in the washing machine (or in the trash, lol). Stay safe man.
