im on 50ug of fent but not feeling anyting after 24 hours so i did a bag and now im sick can someone tell me why and help me out with this. should i take the patch off? im still not high i just feel like im sick.

It could be cuts in the heroin or even the fact you did too much.

Fentanyl will synergize with most opiates, I think taking the patch off for a good 6-12 hours before you do any opiates is a good idea.

I used to get patches. Once I put to many on and felt sick, weak, my heart hurt... it was very scary I ripped them all off and took 3 days off work as a result. Please becarefull and don't take more at this time untill you feel normal again.

It seems that the effects you get from a mild OD can replicate withdrawal, including sweating, nausea, dizziness, etc. The first time I tried fentanyl I became quite sick just from wearing a patch, but at the time I had no opiate tolerance. The high was subtle too. I woke up sick as hell and I tried to fight it but I eventually kept getting sicker so I took the patch off and I began to feel better in a few hours. Most people agree that if you're new to fentanyl you shouldn't sleep with the patch on. I guess I learned that the hard way. Be very careful with fentanyl. It causes lots of respiratory depression and has claimed the lives of many people.

Is it just me or is fent a huge waste of money? It seems to produce nothing but an annoyingly subtle high, extreme side effects, and frequent overdose. Nobody I know who's tried it has had a positive word for it

I think the mere fact that generic fent patches exist on the market because there's a demand for them - I'm also sure that their target market isn't people trying to get high. It's pain management, so they must work for that purpose for at least some people...

yeah i've noticed you don't get as loaded as you want to feel on fentanyl (fent vs/ dope) so you'll take a step or a few extra to feel how you want to. since fentanyl releasees a set amount over a certain amount of time in the patches, if you're feeling sick i'd take it off since 1) you've dosed on dope so you'll be loaded at some point and 2)you're feeling sick, which wouldn't be a surprise since you took a pretty strong opioid that is time released and is pretty strong. as someone said before, fentanyl has actually taken quite a good amount of lives because some people can't recognise the high once they get it, so they'll take more. just be verrrry careful with fentanyl! it's definitely a subtle high when not abused, but you get loaded wihtout even realising it.

Short-term fentanyl tolerance blocking out the effects of short half-life agonists (dope)? Kind of like Methadone tolerance killing dope highs.

I've said this so in a thread before I know. But new opioids are designed to alleviate the most amount of pain possible while diminishing as much of the of abusable qualities of the drug as possible. They're trying to make a drug that's so much more powerful than morphine, yet has the same amount of a high as taking tylenol.

And I've had fentanyl IV, albeit, it was a therapeutic dose after surgery in a hospital so it was probably a very very small dose. I didn't feel a single thing off of it.

Just stating the facts lol. They don't design drugs (in the medical world) to fuck you up...

In fact they try to minimize side-effects to make their product look more appealing.....

Two for tea would just like to say upfront that I'm pretty darn happy I don't get much "feeling" from them. That means they work and I can function. Now, I will say if taken with promethezine or lorazepam that can make for a very interesting experience.

I def didnt take to muuch or overdose cuz i was in slight withdrawal when i had the patches on i just felt sick to my stomach and im not sure why but i only did like half a bag. I stopped feeling sick about 2 hours later thankfully.

Sounds like you did too much, honestly.

I've had good results with fentanyl patches. Trick is to speed the release with heat. Be careful though, it's much easier to die this way. 5-10 minutes on with heat, 5-10 minutes off for an hour. Then be patient, wait awhile and repeat if needed. Use a heating pad ideally, but a blow dryer works too. Although it's easier to burn yourself with the blow dryer (trust me), so make sure that you don't over do the heat. Heating pads will burn you too, lol. The sickness/high ratio goes way up when you speed the release with heat, so take it slow unless you enjoy projectile vomiting.

Over doing it with fentanyl or combining other opiates with it never did me any good, and either made me sick or felt like a waste.

The buzz from fentanyl can be subtle one minute, and floor you the next. It seems to come in waves. But the line between high/sick is pretty thin with fentanyl, so I'm not shocked you felt like shit after adding heroin to the mix.

The key with fent patches is patience, it can be several hours before you even start to feel anything, even then it doesn't really get good til 24+ hours in IME.

I take fent patches all the time, as i'm prescribed them for chronic pain(100mcg/hr). The thing is that they fuck your tolerance up, where you can't get a high of almost fuckin anything. But they're great for the pain..fuck, don't know what to do when i want to get a high, the blow dryer don't work for me, i take two bags of good quality h and i feel almost nothing, fuckin shit..i snort, i don't shot IV, but if i shot, i know that in the beginning i'll get it, and after some times, fuckin nothing again...shit..

Sure I was perscribed them for my pain, they work great.. You also get hooked on them real fast.... so unless your going to stay on them forever or die soon... I would stick to ox

OTC WD meds:
Lope
pepto
gatorade/water with someone to replace salt once you've gone to the bathroom a million times

Great to have:
Benzos and/or soma
pot
ambien/trazodone/similar: for sleep (benzos will take care of this as well, but ambien has worked great for me)
frequent hot/cold showers as needed
Low-light

As someone who used to have a serious daily habit and went through many WDs, I think opiates are honestly a whole lot easier to deal with than benzos. The insane feeling you get after 3-4 days of CT benzo WD is extremely surreal
