Feels like fiberglass in my veins from shootin dope and "itchy blood" feeling...Help?

I know telling you to snort it isn't going to get listened to, but if you're going to insist on shooting it, don't over do it. Stick to the lower doses and have someone around when you do it.

The problem is that the side effects and reactions from Histamine release (via Morphine, Codeine, Acetylcodeine), additive cut allergy or overdose (Quinine, Procaine, Sorbitol, Inositol, etc) fungal or bacterial contamination of injection equipment or drugs, cotton fever, etc all overlap with several of the main effects.

The only practical advice is to seek out a new source and treat the symptoms with available medication (Anti-Histamines, NSAIDs, medicated creams, etc).

I still think it's a histamine reaction. It is wide spread througho the body. Do you get a red face when you do it? I've had whole body tingling before that was quite intense.

I guess it could be an active cut (like morphine). If it's an allergic reaction I would not do any more of it. Since it's dose depend I go for hitamine rush.

At any rate it sounds a bit funky so be careful with it.

Yup. It can't really be pinpointed... I knew I should have put an and/or between the cuts and impurities. :!

Becuz ive took out 7 bags out of a bundle, shot em and had this happen and get all nasty feeling. and then take the last 3 later on, shoot them and nothing happens I just get high nice and fine like normal. So if it was the dope itself then it would always cause this problem every time, but that aint the case, which is the confusing part. It aint a missed shot, and it aint the dope itself, and it most definately aint cotton fever lol, so WTF causes this?? Weird shit. I cant blame the dope since its been differerent batches and it dont make these shitty effects everytime i do it, only sometimes.

Happens to me a lot actually.... just not throughout my entire body. I hit the vein with same batch of dope that ive been using then my arm just fucking itches like crazy crazy all the way down to my wrist. It goes away pretty fast but i know what your talking about. Mine just isn't this intense.

I didnt know you have arteries in your forearm lol. And this has happened a bunch of times i doubt id be 'lucky' enough to accidentally hit a artery more than once.

I got arrested again (3rd time in 6 months:|) with a fuckin brick and a couple sets (It was from a real random-ass, bizarre shitty situation. Im always prepared when copping, etc, and alwayts got my shit put away properly. I been pulled over with shit on me befoer and got off fine becuz i was prepared. But the way I got popped was so surreal and totally out of left field one hndred percent unexpectable that i was just straight up fucked. and it wasnt even my dope, but anyways) the fucking lawyers all sent their "let me represent you in your recent arrest" letters to my house, and my moms being the nosey lady she is opened em up so..the secrets out. she thought i ben clean since my first arrest. So, looks like I aint gona be gettin high for a lil bit. Honestly i had been wanting to take a litle break, so It aint really the family knowing part, more like the "I got to stop doin this shit becuz im on a steady schedule of getting arrested every 2 months"

So i guess i aint gonna be worrying bout the itchy blood no more, for a lilttle while at least. Ima work sometin out, but for now, thanks for the advice peeps,

i've hit an artery a bunch of times and at first didn't believe i was hitting an artery either because it didn't squirt blood or anything like people often say, but when i've hit an artery, it usually only burned at the injection site. anyway, hitting an artery isn't as rare as you might suspect, especially if you've been shooting for a while and finding/hitting a vein isn't the easiest thing. keep in mind that arteries run pretty much right under the veins. not saying that's definitely your problem, but it's something to consider. also, sorry to hear about your arrest - that sucks. keep your head up.
 
Damn Lacey. Again? To be honest I don't even know how you still cop. I mean if I were as hot as you no one would even answer my phone calls. Good luck with whatever the decide for ya though, hopefully you don't become another victim of the war on drugs.

I thought "cotton fever" was an infection from using dirty equipment or re-using cotton that had become infected with bacteria.

I do not know what is causing Lacey's prob., but I don't think its an infection -- since its an immediate reaction.

I don't know if you are re using the needles or using sterile water (not just boiled tap water, actual injecting water) or how you clean the injecting site.

If you are not using aseptic techniques you could have introduced a minor infection into your veins, which can cause a weird crawly sensation all over. This can happen to anyone and the crawly can be aggravated by further injections.

I don't know much about cutters in heroin but assume your batch contains cutters. It could be a reaction to cutters, whatever you clean your skin with or if you reuse after bleaching the needle- it could be a reaction to tiny droplets of bleach left in your mix.

Side effects can be dose related, so just because the effects only appear at high doses, it doesn't mean that it's therefore a cut.

And to the person who said it is unlikely that someone would suddenly become allergic to heroin after having used it for years with no problems, it IS actually possible to become allergic to a drug long after you've started taking.

No, it's not. Cotton fever is a bacterial infection that develops from contaminated cotton. E. agglomerans grows on the cotton naturally and ends up in the q-tips and cotton swabs sometimes.

Did you ever get fiberglass on your hands? From insulation? Know the way how it sticks on your skin and kind of lodges in there and pokes you with its invisible spikes and your skin gets all irritated and itchy and hurts like someone is sticking pins in you? I think that is the best analogy to explain this feeling. Imagine that fiberglass itch/scratchy,"wool sweater rubbing against my skin and chaffing it" feeling, inside your veins. Imagine booting up water with fiberglass particles in it. Thats the only way to describe this shitty sensation that I been gettin. That, or having a entire hive of bees inside my veins all stinging from the inside.

I dont know if this is some kind of super strong histamine reaction or somethin, but i done shots of that size too many times to count and it never gave me no problems, so i dont know why it would just this time. Thats why it confuses me.

So, I aint expecting nobody to tell me the cause of this since you cant tell wats in somebodys dope from behind a screen. But you can tell me however if you ever experienced this and wat seemed to cause it to the best of your knowledge. It sucks becuz the rush is totally, 100% ruined by this reaction . It comes on exactly on point with the rush, so right as the rush SHOULD be hittin me, instead i get this weird-ass, nasty feeling that takes over for 20-30 seconds feeling like i want to jump outa my fuckin skin, and then as it slowly returns to normal and stops tingling and itchin, I get back to normal which sux cuz it feels like i dont even get high from dope and only do it for the rush so when the rush is gone it blows.

Lacey, if this feels so painful why do you even bother shooting more bags of that batch? Are you 100% sure you aren't just having an anxiety attack or something? I don't get how you could keep going back for more if it was like an entire hive of bees stinging you from the inside. I'm sure you could find a way to trade these off for bags of another batch.

P.S. I don't know how your jurisdiction works, but I've been in some where it pays to have a methadone maintenance prescription when they incarcerate and classify you. You may need to have your lawyer bring it to the attention of the court before sentencing or something, I dunno. But get on that 'done lacey. Hell go to the clinic tomorrow, before someone gives you a hot shot or something; who knows what they're cuttin shit with on you.
