Feelings of negativity?

Hey bluelighters! Just had a few questions in mind about our dear friend Mandy. First off, I'd like to know if anyone else has felt feelings of negativity or just feeling plain bad while you're rolling. This usually happens when I take less than my normal dose which is 150mg. I get this very uneasy feeling like everything isn't so great and just plain negativity but I just don't know what causes it. The best way I can describe it is as if it's like I'm not fully "going over the fence", like I feel it coming up but never really getting "there" if you know what I mean. Secondly, I was also wondering why I don't trip for that long anymore. Last weekend when I dropped for the first time in 4+ months, the trip only lasted like 2-3 hrs max. I peaked 20-30 minutes in and started to come down like 20 minutes later, before finally coming back to baseline at around 2 and a half hours. I did 150mg then smoked a blizzy and redosed 15 minutes after the blunt with another 80mg. Just hope my future rolls will be a lot better than my last.

Yes, it was tested. Got it from a very reliable person, a friend who I've been getting from for years. And this was not the only time it happened. It has happened before but I could only relate it to not taking enough I guess.

peaking in 20-30 min sounds like methylone, not mdma. do you personally own a reagent test kit? or are you taking your friends word that it tested proper?

It honestly doesn't matter if your getting it from your friend, he could easily be being lied to and/or his dealers dealer or etc. Testing it is the only way to do it, so unless you or your friend has tested it you never know. Bath salts are known to not last as long as mdma.

Like I said it is tested; this is a very reliable dealer. I have no doubt in my mind that it is indeed Mdxx. And no, 20-30 minutes is usually about how long it takes for it to start hitting me. I've always been the one to feel it way before the others. Besides I know the difference between methylone and mdma.

Depression going into trip? I've found my mood going into a trip/ roll could affect my high. Anything like that going on?

Nope, never had any depression going into the trip. Just a bit excited as it was my first time in 4+ months. The setting was at a party with close friends.

Your stuff just wasn't that strong.

How much do you weigh and how tall are you out of interest?

Yeah I dig original posters vibe....can I ask how often are you doing molly?

I've had this recently, just this negative feeling. I think it's receptor downreg BUT also I've only had it with 2 types of pills. And the 1st time I had this 'negative' feeling briefly, my tolerance was really low.

I'd put it down to tolerance and quality of MDMA (e.g.impurities within the product).

I doubt its the quality because my buddies were all tripping balls. I'm 5'8 and 135lbs. In the past I have used it, breaking the one month rule as I went along but before my most recent roll it was 4 months+

Sounds like either weak/cut stuff, or the dose wasn't as high as what you thought. Maybe weighed out wrong? Or possibly could be a mental thing? Maybe psyching yourself out? After a 4 month break with your size and good quality mdma, you should be peaking for at least an hour and a half and roll lasting 4 hrs. So I don't know that's my opinion? Are you taking any other meds? That could be a possibility as well.

The same thing happens to me. I made a thread about it a fair while ago. The cause of it seems to be not taking enough. The amount you have taken does not push you over the threshold. It has happened to me multiple times using tested MDMA.

Luckily MDMA is forgiving if you take slightly too much. The best fix I found was to consume a small amount more (20-50mg) to make sure you are over the threshold if you get these feelings again. I completely avoided it when I started with a higher dose than normal.

This might be the closest thing to an answer for me, thanks! I figured this was the problem because I really doubt that it was the quality. In the past I have abused this so maybe this could be another reason?

150mg should be enough really for your height/weight but drug experiences are subjective, I would take the other posters advice and increase your dose ever so slightly.

A mixture of tolerance dosage and quality are probably at play.

If "not taking enough" is the cause of your problem, make sure you don't start taking higher and higher doses to get around it. Leave plenty of time (months) between rolls.

And yes, it's possible that past abuse has permanently changed the way MDMA affects your brain. There have been threads about this before.

Yeah it's probably a permenant tolerance thing, oh well nothing I can do now. Thanks for your replies everyone, much appreciated.

Might just be mental. Maybe you were expecting something so great, and then when it didn't happen... you talked yourself down too much and didn't get to experience the trip. I've had a few moments of negativity on a few of my trips, and the more I focused on it the more "flat" my roll was if you know what I mean... until I'm able to work myself back in to it and enjoy it. Might just be normal.
