so me & my girlfriend of 6 months have been having a rough day today. we have been arguing about retarded things, everything has just been off, ive been a dick all day, because i feel emotionless, apathetic at times, i just let her cry, and figure she'll get over it.

we just 'broke up'.

is this because i stopped taking my ssri's? its going on 4 days now.

i feel very 'i dont give a fuck', stubborn, just going with the flow.

is this to be expected. i warned her something like this might happen.

This could in fact be due to the fact that you have just gotten off of your ssri as it can cause mood swings of this magnitude. I'm not sure of your circumstances with your g/f or how often you have fought in the past but you should give this a few days to see if it is just the meds effecting you and causing you to feel apathetic.

it could definitely be the ssris, if you are planning to stay on them long term then missing days can cause some short term problems with your moods like you are describing. Get back on your SSRIs and then see how you feel when you are back into your regular dosing routine. Could just be genuine feelings of apathy.

I suppose it depends on which ssri, and your dosage schedule. Why were you placed on an ssri to begin with? Did you notice a positive change while on them? Why are you quitting them?
