when doing benzo (xanny w/ dope) I always would nod quicker and thought it made my high quicker.

since I stopped dope but still need a benzo here and there I take 10MG Valium and it does NOTHING for me aside put me to sleep.

is it just cuz the switch? or cuz there is no more dope? maybe too high of a dosage of Valium?

what feelings are you guys getting? I've never really taken them just regular, or how they should be, always abused and shot/sniffed/took w/ dope. so how they are supposed to work was never really something I cared for.

When i take benzos i usually feel relaxed and sedated somtimes heavy and after a long hard day benzos hit right there in the spot. Also 10mgs of valium = 1mg of xanax. The dosage might be a little to small. i enjoy a nice 3 mgs of xanax so that equals about 30mgs of valuim

People will say there is no recreational value or euphoria from benzos. But when all stress and worries suddenly unwind into nothing, that is happiness to me.

I needa get stressed out before taking them again; they are a waste in my eyes aside from helping me sleep. back in the day when doing dope I am not even sure why I put benzo in the mix as much as I did but I had such a large script i felt it was only right, ha.. right? yea, I was a little whacked out of my mind for a long, long, LONG time. hell, even to this day I am still a bit whacky.

If they had no recreational value I doubt they would be one of the most widely abused prescription drugs.

lol. I agree but us users are morons, no? legit, I cannot feel the drug but I take it. why? I honestly dont know. I shot it w/ my dope. why? I honestly dont know. but I knew it was a drug and it was a drug people were using so I did it. it goes t show you the mind of a true user/junkie. I just thought it was getting me more fucked up, so I used it all I could. meanwhile, all I did was make me nod faster of pass out quicker. whacky to think this shit really happens/thoughts went through my head. I sit here w/ them now and will take and feel ZERO or just fall asleep. sure, my tolerance is not nearly where it once was but still just funny how things worked out.

I dont use benzos recreationally, I use them in stressful situations or when I feel an anxiety attack coming. I used them last week when I had my finals, I hate timed tests I freak out towards the end and start sweating and shaking and cant write. So I take .25-.5 mg of benzos and it keeps me from panicking.

They just mildly relax me and when they wear off Im really tired. But my dosage isnt thathgh. Was dependent on them last summer but tapered off. Was using 2mg/day (which isnt a whole lot but Im only 5' 1 and 110lbs. Would rage if I missed a dose so tapered down by .125 mg every few weeks because didnt want to get myself in a deeper hole.)

^ can't imagine taking benzos before tests because they screw with my memory.
Many people have the same problem.

0,5 to 2mg+ xanax makes me feel bored/nervous and if anything just numbs my head
5mg+ valium makes me feel very relaxed andvery euphoric
1mg+ ativan makes me feel quite relaxed and a bit euphoric

valium is great but i dont like feeling doped all the time.
so far ativan is my favorite.

(can't stand the thought of those corporations forcing Time Release on benzos as well.
But i dont think they'll ever be because they're used to stop panic attacks.)

thank god for benzos! (and pray to god u wont get to experience what physical addiction to them is like)
i never did and dont plan to.

me and my friend tend to feel nervous the day after taking ativan, we consider that mini withdrawals.

i pray i dont man. ive been taking the 10MG's maybe 1 or so a day for the past week or so. thats nothing, right? i dont plan on taking shit tonight but there still plenty of time left. i hope i dont. last thing i need is to just kick dope and pick this. but i am taking such a low dosage prescribed but i dont want to use if not needed. been using more for sleep than panic lately.

I haven't had access to "authentic" benzos for years- they're rarely prescribed here, so the best I can do are the RC ones: etizolam, diclazepam, etc. years back I had experience with diazepam (Valium), Librium, temazepam. I've always found the effects to be far from recreational tbh. I'm fairly laid back, but in a high stress or anxious situation, the wave of calm that kinda washes over you with benzos, I guess could be described as euphoric, but not in the way of other drugs. They generally make me feel spaced out and sorta apathetic as a rule.

Benzos have no recreational value on their own. But are great for insomnia or anxiety issues. Remember they are designed to be a medication, they serve a certain purpose, sometimes that purpose makes other drugs more enjoyable.

Yeah, they're definitely more useful as a medication than a recreational drug. Of course, they do make for excellent combinations; I wouldn't touch a stimulant without a supply of benzos. Some of the more enjoyable combos are also the riskiest ie booze opiates- mixing CNS depressants isn't a good idea at all.

The combo that really works for me is etizolam, phenibut, and suboxone. Serious fun.

In my opinion and experience they simply are not recreational on their own, they just do what their supposed to do and eliminate anxiety.

Yes. Speaking as someone living with panic disorder and PTSD, Xanax makes life more bearable. When benzos (I previously took Valium before being switched to Xanax) kick in, I feel the relaxation first in the nape of my neck, under my hair, which is long. If I combine benzos with BT opioids for chronic pain, I feel a synergistic effect that enhances both and relieves both. And for once, I can say thank ya, BigPharma.

I do NOT mix benzos with alcohol--never have. If you're too young to remember Karen Ann Quinlan, Google her. Now that's a sad and cautionary tale.
