Feeling Trees

I used to be Poplar
Then life became a Birch
I became un-Apple with it.
I didn't know if I was Maple to do much better
but I knew, Chestnut the best I can do

Held my head in my Palm
Didn't know what I was crying Fir
Maybe I felt life was Cherry..
Maybe I was just over Elm-ed..

The water got high, but I kept Rowan
Spruce-d myself up, and went with the flow
I could Cedar was a reason for this rain

Before long I was doin just Pine
Laid my head down on my Willow
and knew it's Sequoia to be Oak

Added a couple more lines.. are there any trees that I missed? id love to figure out how to work them in

(note : i know there are multiple types of the same trees, i dont want to mention every single one.)
