Stop resisting!
Federal agents and local authorities conducted raids yesterday on two medical marijuana dispensaries located in West Hollywood. Both of the shops, Alternative Herbal Health Services and Zen Healing Collective, are "among four that the city has authorized to operate," notes LA Now.

Details about the raids were in sealed warrants, however officials said the raids were part of an "ongoing operation." There have not been raids such as yesterday's in the Los Angeles area since 2007. Two years ago, the federal government under President Obama said they would take a more "hands-off approach" to dealing with marijuana stores that operated within state laws. However, the DEA has conducted a handful of raids in California since then.

The raid at Zen Healing took over five hours, and the owner's attorney told the Times he saw several employees in handcuffs, and "said agents seized marijuana and cash, but he did not know how much." Ultimately, between the two locations, only one arrest was made.

What do think should happen to all those DEA agents with pending MMJ-based cases should do? Go after unlicensed Xanax distributors? Heel no! Not with all that fervent momentum. A person has to make a living!

...

Sarcasm aside, I agree: all DEA agents must decompose spontaneously. Free up some time for criminal investigations in which actual people were victims, not for some pseudo-altruistic ideal with no basis in reality :!

Quoted from Sun Tzu, 'The Art of War':

"In War, then, let your object be victory, not lengthy campaigns, no country has benefited from lengthy campaigns."

There is one thing thats good to keep in mind-the DEA will never win the way they think they will.

People's perception of "win" in this "war" isn't a given, there's extremes and there's even middle ground. I have no idea how this'll end up and I doubt anyone does, but they're in a solid spot to speculate given it's their career watching this stuff. They may've known MMJ would get popular, despite disliking it (if they truly do dislike it. Perhaps it helps take the spotlight off other stuff, who knows?
Win implies "end", and "war" implies win/lose. This(drugs) has NO end. This(war) is not a war, "war on drugs" is a cheesy name people called the enforcement of drug-illegality. IMO, the war includes a shit-ton more than is needed to deal with drugs effectively (see Portugal), but wtf do I know?
I was just thinking - If MMJ were legalized/decrim'd in every.single.state, would that, in effect, make it "federally LEGAL"?

I wonder how many rounds of drinks they had at the bar to celibrate their good deed to society.

We still have poverty plaguing our streets, and they are worried about medical marijuana? I see no logic in that.
