Favourite Quotes And Sayings V3. I'm Serious, And Don't Call Me Shirley

“It's so hard to forget pain, but it's even harder to remember sweetness.
We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.”

“What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”

“There's always a moment when you start to fall out of love, whether it's with a person or an idea or a cause, even if it's one you only narrate to yourself years after the event: a tiny thing, a wrong word, a false note, which means that things can never be quite the same again.”

Good photos are like prompts to all sorts of other memories, feelings and experiences. A still image tells lots of stories to the viewers and participants.

It is was that fleeting it wasn't love. More like a crush, a fad, an enamoration a passing fancy... Love is more enduring and complex, longer lasting. It's good to know the difference x

I believe we do know the difference. If you were ever in love you understand this is past complex and it never ends for most people I know.

I was talking quoting thoughts about moments. And how singular they may be to one but obviously so different to others.

Having different perspectives from life events, simple or complicated is one of the things that makes us human. Imagine how boring it would be if it wasn't like that.

“The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.”
Elie Wiesel

“Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?”

L.M. Montgomery

Appearance is something absolute, but reality is not that way - everything is interdependent, not absolute.
So that view is very helpful to maintain a peace of mind because the main destroyer of a peaceful mind is anger.
Dalai Lama

“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”

- Oscar Wilde

Brilliant. And very true.

I'm older than that. Here's another one of my quotes.

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

(Wrongly attributed to Socrates, an even bigger intellectual thief than Wilde 8))

Mate this is serious. Something must be done! I've alerted the authorities, they are on their way

They are taking the Delorian back in time to arrest Oscar Wilde and Socrates for plagiarism
