Favourite Quotes And Sayings V3. I'm Serious, And Don't Call Me Shirley

I'm not sure I understood it... ;)

“Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.”

A young bull and an old bull stood at the top of a hill watching a field full of heifers down below:

"Why don't we run down this hill and fuck one of those heifers?" , asked the young bull.

"Why don't we walk down and fuck them all", replied the old bull.

Getting stress out of your life takes more than prayer alone. You must take action to make changes and stop doing whatever is causing the stress. You can learn to calm down in the way you handle things.

“Why do people have to be this lonely? What's the point of it all? Millions of people in this world, all of them yearning, looking to others to satisfy them, yet isolating themselves. Why? Was the earth put here just to nourish human loneliness?”

Some quotes tend to generalize a lot and certain perceptions that you feel about your children for instace can sometimes be applied to a quite lager group. This one makes me think about my daughter..

“Sensitive people are the most genuine and honest people you will ever meet. There is nothing they won’t tell you about themselves if they trust your kindness. However, the moment you betray them, reject them or devalue them, they become the worse type of person. Unfortunately, they end up hurting themselves in the long run. They don’t want to hurt other people. It is against their very nature. They want to make amends and undo the wrong they did. Their life is a wave of highs and lows. They live with guilt and constant pain over unresolved situations and misunderstandings. They are tortured souls that are not able to live with hatred or being hated. This type of person needs the most love anyone can give them because their soul has been constantly bruised by others. However, despite the tragedy of what they have to go through in life, they remain the most compassionate people worth knowing, and the ones that often become activists for the broken hearted, forgotten and the misunderstood. They are angels with broken wings that only fly when loved.”

As I mentioned later today, sometimes we find sayings that do generalize quite a bit. But then we think of a couple of important people in your life and see how can certain people portrait them so well. It's more like an emotional reaction towards our beloved ones.

"Before the explorers, the Rub al Khali had been a blank space on the map of the world. After them, it remained so."

Clive Barker, Weaverworld.

The book is not meant to be comic im sure, but Barker has scattered a few of these wry and dry witticisms here and there, to lighten the mood. Providing some contrast to Immacolata the witch, and her insatiable sisters, any male had better hope he does not encounter them, for they will drain him dry of blood, spunk, and muscle, and leave him for dead. The offspring go on to become viscous monsters. At first i couldnt get into the phantastical aspects of Barker's books, but they've got me now.

“We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it.”
