Favourite game theme tune?

With some games though I think you're missing out if you don't listen to the game music. Adds to the feel and atmosphere of the game in many cases.
 
I agree with Weegee.

Not to mention that for a lot of games, sound effects and music are both integral to the game.
 
I've always found the Halo series to have excellent music, that actually adds a lot to the game and story.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time for similar reasons.

I LOVED the soundtrack to FFVI (III here) I've never been able to get into another Final Fantasy after that one. I got so drawn into the characters as they were all named after real friends of mine and their stories and personalities just fit them perfectly.

The soundtrack was phenomenal.

Other favorites are Zelda and Super Mario Bros. those are always in my head....
 
the pacman intro is classic and you can't go wrong with a siren to get your heart pumping.

Not necessarily limited to just the theme, but Mega Man 2 has my favorite video game music of all time
 
the kikori forest song from Legend of Zelda: Ocarana of Time
