favorite psychedelic for dancing

20 mg AMT (IM) + 50 mg DPT (IM)

This combo facilitated the most incredible psychedelic dance/trance I've ever experienced. I don't often feel compelled to dance, but this time the urge was undeniable, bordering on irresistible. The DPT created a heightened awareness of body movements, which coupled with distinctive proprioceptive-visual synaesthesias. The way each movement synched with the music caught me off guard as it felt almost rehearsed, like my brain had been hijacked by some dormant program encoding an ancient ritual dance. I highly recommend the combo, but the intensity is more suited for a well controlled environment. I wouldn’t try it at a big event, but then again, I'm not into repetitive pounding bass in the first place. Try Sigur Ros for a soundtrack. <3

Low dose ketamine in the accompaniment a tryptamine also seems to lend itself to dance.
 
i can't help but dance on mdma, and i've also found 2c-b to be great for that kind of setting. The best part about dancing while tripping is that 1) you don't care if you look like an ass and 2) most of the people around you are most likely also tripping and therefore also don't care if you look like an ass! Any show or party where the people around you are uptight and giving dirty looks if you dance funny is not the kinda place you wanna be anyway :)
 
Low doses of LSD or mushrooms. On higher doses of either I always end up sitting around.
 
I'm not too into the dance/rave scene so I'm not sure if this fits; but 2c-e is my favorite for a good roudy mosh pit;)

moshing is fun... its one of the only places where you can hit/be hit by random strangers with it not being personal at all... The last mosh pit i was in my head got slammed into a speaker or maybe it was the stage i cant remember too well given the mild concussion... walked out with a bloody lip and lit up a cigarette...

moshing is a hell of an adrenalin rush even when sober, i dont think i could ever pull it off on a psych though...
 
I find low dose LSD to be good for dancing (loosens social anxiety and makes you get into the music), but moderate-high dose LSD seems to inhibit my already limited dancing ability. I feel too fluid and tend to dance off-beat and awkwardly, getting a little too into the music psychologically and not enough physically.

2C-I is the only true psychedelic that I have really just wanted to get up(my myself mind you) and move to the beat. LSD is good of course but theres just something about the 2C. It was all psytrance of course, I couldnt imagine much more for dancing on psych's. Other music goes good for psych's but if you wanna dance you gotta bust out the goa or psy, something EXTREMELY complex and mind twisting.

I wish I wasnt scared to take LSD or 2C-I at a rave because I think the lasers would be out of this world but im afraid of a freakout and just that alone I think could provoke a freakout so ill give it a miss. Pils arw great for raves and dancing anyway and maybe someday ill get some strong MDA and get some visuals at a rave. Hard trance of course...Gabber would be unimaginably aweful.
 
Hmmmmm, well there is certainly a "type of music" component to this question. At least for me there is. I would say though that 200mg MDMA and a few drinks (moderation is absolutely key) produces the most reliable results. Just the right amount of carelessness, imprecise balance that i can turn into very fluid motion, and good old inhibition. Ahhhh, I love it.

Yeah, its definitley a stong possibility.. i would actually be interested in dosing LSD at a rave.

I've dosed it at an outdoor music festival before.. i had 3 hits, the only problem with this was.. been around drunk people (especially) is 'out of this world' nerve-wracking when peaking hard.. the anxiety i experienced was insane as i walked between crowds of drunks and the moshpits.. i thought everyone knew i was tripping and was staring me down.. the visuals weren't helping much either :) I was so glad i had some E.. that made is so incredibly smooth and just relaxed my entire mind.. i think without it i would of had to go sit somewhere on my own and just watch.

I wont do it again, 3 hits was a bit too intense at such a massive festival of 20,000.

And i don't know if doofs have wrecked my hearing, but the music sounded like shit on LSD, i felt i needed to be within a meter of the speaker in order to get a full experience (which i usually am at psytrance doofs) It sounded like all pitch and no bass lol.

have all been great for dancing in various amounts and combinations of one another. These three are kind of my "party team" ;)

I find tryptamines too distracting and they make me feel kind of clumsy or drunkish, not good for dancing really.

Are you serious?

Acid doesn't make you dance, what kind of acid was that? Probably thought it was some pill laced with some acid/LSD hahaha and listened to that gay acid house music all night.

I've done acid with 10 other people before and have heard from others. No one has ever danced.

Then again the only time I've done it was with 2 or more tabs. I hear lighter doses make you dance according to this thread. When I did one tab it did nothing, two did the trick and gave that huge ass trip.

On acid it feels good to move around, music is amazing, and visual effects are intensified... seems like a perfectly fun drug to take at a rave... I think i might drop or candyflip for my 2nd rave... some MDMA will take care of any inhibitions and make dancing fun...
 
Dancing on psychedelics is mostly contingent on set and setting. It's the performer, the audience, the vibes, and your own mood. You can have nights of ecstatic all night dancing on mushrooms, acid, MDMA, or regular old sober brain chemistry.

That said, acid tends to make me stand still and think deep thoughts. At together as one this year I was just thinking about the size of the room, the fact that my brain was creating my reality, the fact that the universe was alive, these cidded out thoughts. I didn't feel like dancing at all. Mushrooms are a much more physical drug, much more like rolling imo.

Everyone, clearly if you dance on acid your either an idiot or really just inhaling jenkem because it just isn't possible. I mean seriously acid makes it so you cant move because it drips down your spin killing all the nerves cells in the spinal cord causing paralysis. 8)

Really though I've enjoyed dancing on acid. One of the funniest things I've seen on acid in a while was after walking back from an adventure in the woods to my friends apartment and finding a dance party inside.

Hell yeah, I'm serious. Acid doesn't "make you dance", but in the right situation it's utter bliss. I've been to the Boom festival in Portugal this year and it was amazing. Outdoor psytrance festivals are made for dancing on psychedelics. And acid is the most suitable psychedelic for this porpose IMO. You have to get the dose right, and the music and atmosphere must be good.
