Favorite Older Games

Everything from retro to now, but I'd prefer to hear what you liked from a couple years ago. Recently picked up an intel iMac and loaded a virtual XP machine onto it and would like to play some games. The problem is that most of them are too much for it to handle so i'm looking for older stuff. Adventure/horror games are always good.

So here are some of mine...

old-school PC games? add planescape: torment to your list.

if you can find it, system shock. if crpgs get you hot, gothic 1, arcanum: of steamworks and magicka obscura.

the fallouts are must plays, but you already listed them ^_^

R-type was amazing - although it was even harder when called Nemesis on the C64..

I loved the early Dizzy games on my commodore. Also Cobra Triangle and Kid Icarus on the NES, Chuck Rock on the Amiga (Gary Gritter - the comedy!! ) and later on Command and Conquer and Fallout on the PC.

Psychetool if you haven't checked out the bio-ware RPG's i strongly suggest you do


Baldurs gate 1 & 2 (epic classics)

and also Icewind dale wasn't bad more hack and slashy though (still very high ADD content)
