So why the hell post in this thread?
I have IV'ed opiates/opioids from every structural class (even all the agonist-antagonists like nasty stuff like talwin), and pretty much every narcotic that is practically available (and even some that are relatively rare, like dipipanone, ketobemidone, levorphanol, dermorphin, alpha-methylfentanyl, various piperidine analogues, oxymorphone etc).
But having tried SO many different types of opiates/opioids intravenously, I would have to say the most consistent and easiest to get is regular old heroin. I mean, if i had an unlimited supply of ketobemidone, i would prefer it to heroin and probably just shoot that all day long, but that will never happen. But given factors such as availability, relatively inexpensive (although not at my doses), and predictability of heroin, i would have to say its my favorite. I may be biased in saying this given im addicted to the substance, but overall i think heroin is the most dependable way for me to get loaded on narcotics. But i am trying to get off my daily heroin habit, i think i will try after i finish my final exams.....
HighRollin'420*, why do you prefer morphine? Isn't heroin just turn into morphine in your brain, thus making it a morphine high. Or is it different because of the cuts, and synthesis of heroin byproducts, remains of not fully finished chemicals, and byproducts?
While you have a point in that heroin is just a better delivery method of morphine, the effects from IV morphine and IV heroin are definately quite distinguishably different, pharmacologically speaking. IV morphine is more of a body high/rush and in most cases is more sedative, whereas heroin has a rush, but it also has a distinct psychological element of well-being, and in lower doses CNS-stimulation (or at least the desire to get things done). I dont find this with regular morphine. And in regards to the comment about "cuts and synthesis byproducts", that is true, as heroin, especially crude heroin #3 like even good tar contains unreacted morphine, codeine, acetylcodeine (a toxin), acetylmorphine, 6-monoacetylmorphine, and finally diacetylmorphine (and it also contains whatever cut was used, i believe the most common is coffee, as coffee is brown, bitter and water-soluble). But unless you have morphine ampules/vials, if you want to IV morphine you have to use pills like msIR, mscontin and their generics, all which contain particulates (mainly mscontin, as msIR is relatively safe to IV when filtered properly). I definately think mscontin and other sustained release morphine tablets are, at very least AS bad as shooting street dope (but very possibly worse). So depending on the formulation, morphine tablets are probably just as dangerous as shooting street heroin, but the heroin high is without a doubt superior.......
