I would say the WIRE is my favorite. One of the best shows on TV IMO...

BUT, Entourage is also an awesome show. I have seen all of them, and I continue to enjoy it.

I screwed up and watched the next 3 episodes of the WIRE online recently, so now I have to wait a long time to watch a new episode again. Stupid free online site ruined it for me. I just couldn't resist.
 
I am currently re-re-rewatching Band of Brothers, and it still moves me unlike anything else on HBO has.
 
I bought the Band of Brothers on box set when it came out and watched it them back to back

Big Love, why isn't in there? Easily the best drama.

Worst HBO show is Bill Maher show. Completely biased BS, all he does is just spew hateful comments about Bush and all things conservative. He's extremely rude to conservative guests.

And god, the audience just applauds anything any liberal says. I mean, they applaud at the most inane comments.

Just a bad show, guy isn't funny at all.

But yea where is Big Love? Acting is great, story is amazing. The first season I was completely lost, I didn't realize polygamy was a crime or a big deal until I went to Utah. I had no idea why they were being secretive, I didn't know there was anything to polygamy.

i've been kicking the idea around the office (my toilet) and so, i will start a new poll adding all the suggested up to date HBO shows. Now, being an aussie with only free to air television, which i hardly watch, i'll give you guys a week or so to make some requests for the poll before i make it.

You mean he's like pretty much every conservative talk radio host or Faux News personality?

I agree with what you said about him, but find it funny you have a thread about your favorite conservative talk radio hosts and yet find Maher so egregious.

Anyways... The Wire, Curb, Band of Brothers, Carnivale, Sopranos (until the last couple years)... HBO has brought us some great series. Too bad it seems like it is going downhill these days. WTF is up with crap like Flight of the Conchords?

He tries to come off as comedic, but it's not, it's just insults, whereas talk radio say mean things but don't pawn it off as comedy.

HBO has it's series of bad shows. That one miniseries about the person being kidnapped, terrible!

Entourage, Curb your Enthusiasm, Big Love, are the only great shows that have been around recently. I mean John from Cincinatti, Tell me you love me, ugh! Even The Wire I haven't found too great. Sure, it has it's moments, but any show that long with that many episodes is going to have something okay in it. I mean imagine if a truly great show like Entourage, Big Love, Curb, went on like the wire did.
 
^ I know this is all about opinion, but you didn't think The Wire was that great? That show touches on so many subjects in such an honest manor and tells the stories from so many perspectives...It's amazing.

big love puts me to sleep to be perfectly honest. the wire may be the most captivating show on tv. difference of opinion.

but i will say john from cincinatti was retarded.

Agreed. Flight of the Concords is very funny! It took a couple of episodes to grow on me,but now I watch it religiously. Add to the poll,please.=D =D =D
