Fave Toys as a Kid

LEGO, barbie, cabbie patch dolls (mine were called, katie and fabian) match box cars, my doll house, racing cars, race tracks, remote control cars, mario bros, dinosaurs, ninja turtle RAPHALE WAS MY FAV etc.....

My favourite toys as a kid, would have had to have been my GLOW WORM, god I loved him, and my HUMPHREY BEAR doll, I loved him too, till my mum gave him away, I was not a happy chappy. My glow worm, who knows what ever happened to that. :(

Voltron the original and the best fuck power ranger was such a rip off

He-man i had literally at least a hundred or close too of these figurines

Oooh! ~Bounces and jumps around~

Glow Worms and Popples rocked the house, man...even though I never had my oooown, friends used to lend me theirs..:) :D :) How cute is that? :)

Care Bears. And I had a talking Alf doll as well. Failing those 2, I loved PJ Funnybunny (not just the books, there were stuffed toys too!)

(edit: how could I forget my Smurfs toys?!?)

My mum made us playdoh once, it's really not that hard. Except it tasted so good that I ate it. But I forgot that I had eaten it and thought my sister had taken it so I cried.

True story.

Lego, Voltron, Transformers and He-man were all great but my favorite toy of all time would have to be my Inspector Gadget figure!! The thing came with like 20 attatchments! Go-go Gadget everything!

I hated barbies. I would chop their hair off. Which didn't go down that well with my barbie-loving friends :D

That said, I did have some dolls - Strawberry Shortcake and her crew were particular favourites, along with ET.

I BEGGED for a Cabbage Patch Kid but mum wouldn't get me one :( booo.

My favourite toys though were mostly interactive ones: I loved my Strawberry-scented Big M Hula Hoop (anyone seeing a strawberry theme here?), my Coca-Cola Yo-Yo, my cubby house and my trampoline.

/start old fart RANT/

I think kids toys are highly over-rated. Where's the imagination gone these days? I remember my games were mostly ones I made up in my head.

A wooden fence outside our house provided hours of fun - I was a gymnast who had to balance on it. Sometimes I'd sing at the same time; that took incredible skill ;) I'd climb a tree and carve my name into the bark, hit a ball against a brick wall, or walk down to the local tennis club and climb up on the roof of the clubrooms, with a "picnic" (yes I even put it in a basket and all) and and a book and feel the wind on my shoulders and think about life. It's a shame it's too unsafe/ not 'stimulating' enough for kids to have adventures like that these days.... so much better than a Playstation.

/end rant/

I'm going to make me a nice cup of tea.

:\

Heheheh I had one of those scented strawberry and banana hula hoops, however they were a hand me down from my older sister, but somehow they still managed to keep their original scents. :)

I guess you could say I was the barbie doll kid, somehow I ended up with 25 - 30 of them, some of them I used to style by cutting their hair, and others I'd just brush their hair and change their clothes. Also I had "Barbie's music and video show" thingy, and a barbie game show set, plus the barbie car, and a barbie carhome, lol this is too funny.

Other toys I loved were my lego sets, I had 2 cabbage patch dolls, one was called Amanda, and the other one was Bruce, I think, and Bruce was the sailor. ;) I also had about 100 matchboxes (yes that's where the tomboy in me comes from ;)), and of course I had the good old board games like Monopoly and Cluedo, etc etc etc.

Consoles I had were the Atari 2600, NES, ps1 and now the ps2. ;) I've always wanted a Commodore 64, but my Mum refused to get me one, saying that they were too hard to use, lol!

Sllip: My Mum used to make me playdoh too, and yep you guessed it, I ate it, there's just something about eating something that really is forbidden to eat. ;)

I could go on all day about my toys, but lets face it, no one wants to read on and on and on, so I'll stop here. :)

A box of Matches (you remember them ,before lighters), I would burn things melt things ,make little fires,. IT all just facinated me.Though just like sex the novelty wore off.

Tonka Trucks.... I totally forgot about them, my father was telling me about them he found some in the shed, told me I was a Tonka Trucks crazy.

ooooooo i nearly forgot but slm reminded me when she said she was going to make tea

TEA SETS!!! i loved having tea parties =D

ah...yeah oldspark i used to play with matches to i used to get a bottle of turpentine and draw circles and stars in the ground with the turps. ( we had a lot of land, and lived in a cul-de-sac.

anyway, i lit it up and that was wonderful to watch. and no im not a pyro. i remember me and my brother pulling the hose out the street and haveing 3 buckets of water ready. just in case mum or dad came out.....

and oldspark i hope you were talking about matches as in burning them, and not just making shapes, because then i would look silly wouldnt i?

Pog, OddBodz Cards, Lego, TMNT Figurines, Mostly i would play computer games n watch TV but. I couldnt be bothered being all energetic n stuff unless there was lollies involved.

I was a very much punkiebruster chik, I was young so I dont know how to spell her...

Also Bmx's becoz of the bmx bandit movie.....
Tape recorders coz I loved recording myself talking and singing and recording everyone else with out them knowing...
Yer the odd barbie but was more into thing that would entertain me for hours..

Ok last of all I know you wouldnt call it a toy, but I got a cubby house made for me, it was awsome, little kitchen and little windows, pitty my step father pulled the damm thing down and broke it when we moved house!!
