Opioids Fatty Foods/Cod liver oil before Opiods

It depends on the opioid. For example a small amount of a fatty substance taken before oral dosing of oxycodone can potentiate it by increasing its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. The liver oil should work just like any other fatty substance/meal!

I only thought the fatty food potentiation worked on opana. im glad to know that it works on other opiods too. im far too skinny anyway. thanks for the info. i take oxycontin twice a day and 3 percocets a day. this is good info

I was wondering (yes I UTFSE) if simply taking a couple of cod/salmon liver oil would potentiate opioids the same way shit like bacon and stuff does. Or does it have to be hydrogenated fat?

Thanks?

Bacon (fresh) does not contain hydrogenated fat. It contains mostly saturated fat. Cod liver oil is unsaturated fat (poly, with high quantities of omega 3).

Only difference is physical state. Sat fat is solid, unsaturated fat is (mostly) liquid. To what extent they differ in delaying gastric emptying, I don't think it would be much. If it is increased bioavailability, both types of fats should be about the same.

Avoid hydrogenated fat (e.g margarine), it offers no health benefit.
