Benzos Fast-onset, short/intermediate-acting benzos?

Don't know about Lorazepam in Australia, but I'd have to vouch for it in this situation from personal experience.

But, 1. maybe you shouldn't be on a benzo if you've had benzo abuse problems in the past. 2. If you are through with benzo abuse, why did you bother telling your doc that you have abused benzos in the past?

Anyway, in my experience, Lorazepam was not strong or quick enough acting for me (maybe just my chemistry). But I know a lot of people find it as good middle ground between say Alprazolam and Clonazepam.

Best of all though, albeit off topic, is to maintain a healthy lifestyle, eating habits, exercise, etc. I suffer from panic and anxiety and healthful living always helps me more than any pill.

clobazam is prescribed in oz., no? and if your doc's ears are closed to suggestion, that sucks, man. thing is, you don't need a doc to get etizolam. maybe push for the loraz'.
lorazepam is a fast acting fucker but, as stated above, if you've had problems abusing benzos, then regular exercise is the tits for reducing anxiety levels without risk of developing another habit.

edit: also, if you're serious about not abusing benzos anymore, and are using them to counter panic attacks, then alprazolam seems ideal. the trouble is, they are a bit too delightful, so it might be hard to use them only as required. i would consider this, then maybe try another doctor.

Unless you have never had addictive problems with benzodiazepines, stay away from alprazolam. It works well for me, but for most people who have battled a benzo habit before, it's not a good idea to go onto it.

Lorazepam and temazepam are excellent shorter lasting benzos as alternatives to diazepam and clonazepam. :)

Just make sure you are well aware that every benzo can and will cause a dependency if used long enough/frequently enough.

need help relaxing valium not working

I have recently been prescribed valium for stress, anxiety and night terrors, I generally take about 30mg a night when needed but it just makes me tired and worn out plus I wake up exhausted and have to work all day feeling like a zombie. Is there a better benzo that will give me a nice tranquil buzz to chill me when I need it but wont give me the hangover effect?
