Or staying home to watch on TV with a beer in your hand especially on a weeknight or even better staying home on a Friday night to catch a game when the seasons hopes have been dashed just because or better still the first game of a twinight double-header against the Padres it started before sunset and the other game I don't know maybe right around Sunset depending on if you didn't go into extra innings but I ramble where was I oh yes the perfect sport at the perfect time when we were young and culminating in the world series between the Cubs and the Cleveland Indians wow was that... really something

I was a Cubbies fan that year at least after the Dodgers lost the NL Championship ... it used to be called the Pennant when there was only N.L. East and West and the Expos were in the east and the Dodgers the west where the other league had strange rules the pictures didn't even have to go to bat what kind of bullshit is that,

there was only one playoffs none of this wild card BS no I don't really mind the Wild Card thing especially considering that the San Diego Padres may just win it all this year
