and then for corners, go here again ^ and look at the depth charts on defense for CB - you're gonna want the top 2 on the list of each team

you can also wait it out and see how players do after week 1 - but it's nice to start the season off with a win
 
if they're on waivers (W) then you put your request in, and then look at the standings, and that's what priority you are - so if nobody else with a lower number than you has a waiver request in, then you get him when he becomes a free agent and clears waivers (players that are dropped by another team are on waivers for 1 day, then they become free agents)

go to my team and look at the projected points next to the players, make sure the best ones are your starting roster and it'll improve your chances. Also beware of injuries itll say D, Q, or OUT in red letters next to them. You can also read little summaries about them.

Yeah Defense is a little shaky to pick, whereas on offense it was best to set up your queue by XRank, with D it seemed better with regular Rank. But honestly on D, you really just need to dig into stats more, like last seasons stats will give you a good idea of who's the best player to pick.
 
if you look at our standings, you'lll see WAIVER and that's what place you're in - its a continuing rolling list - so once you get a player from waivers, you go to the back of the line until another manager does the same thing and he goes to the back of the line, moving you up a spot
